I know that this really is each person's personal opinion. But I'd like to hear what others have to say about those of us still using a Windows Phone. My first two cell phones were basic Nokia's from T-Mobile. Then when I went the smartphone route on my third phone I decided to stick with Nokia and got a Nokia Lumia 925 with Windows 8 Mobile. Then when an app I liked stopped getting updates on Windows 8.1 mobile I went with an Alcatel Idol4s with Windows 10 Mobile. So I've never had an iPhone or an Android phone ever. And I'm kind of stuck on what to do next, after my Windows Phone is no longer usable of course. Windows Phone is dead, so another Windows Phone won't be a viable option. But which should I get, Apple or Android? On the one hand I don't want to pay top dollar for an Apple. Sure, they're sleek and now have a good longevity record. But I feel like my phone shouldn't cost more than my laptop does. On the other hand I'm kind of mad at Google for killing the Window's Phone. Ok,
So I have the Inseego M2000 hotspot with the 100 GB plan for use on a rural property. Fortunately it connects to a 5G tower here and generally speaking when it works I get good transfer speeds (30-50 Mbps down and 3-10 Mbps up). There is some sort of insidious problem with this device that I can’t pin down though. Most of my devices work just fine - iPhones, Apple TV, Ring floodlight camera, Macbook, etc. However, there are a few consumer devices that simply will not set up on this network - as if something on this device is blocking or resetting the connection. Namely, I’ve had trouble with Ring stick-up cameras, a Yale/August connect remote lock, and a Sensi wireless thermostat. All exhibit a similar problem which is that they’ll connect to the WiFi just fine but can’t complete setup due to a generic internet connectivity issue. However, I can get all of these devices to work just fine if i use my iPhone as a hotspot, which is also a T-Mobile-connected device (4G LTE). I’ve tried all m
Working through multi vendor solution to enable MyQ app to successfully connect to Tmobile home internet. After long trouble shooting with Tmobile and Chamberlain, determined port 8883 is closed and the myq server connection requires an open 8883 port. Neither vendor is being responsive with a solution.
I received and configured my LTE Gateway, TM-RTL0102 about a week ago. It works almost perfectly. Speeds are solid, both up and down. Only problem is that port forwarding isn't working. I've got the virtual servers configured on the Gateway for my home security cameras and RDP to my office computer, but neither is working. Is this a feature that's not available yet? If not, I might have to hold up on using the service as it's definitely something I'd like to have working, especially the security cameras.
I was told the 5G inseego MiFi 2000 would work with anything and would allow me to play Xbox One on it. I ended up connecting with my phone and laptop but unable to do so with my Xbox. I ended up messaging inseego because I thought it was an inseego issue. They replied to me saying this: “Hello,The issue you are seeing is a result of some backend network handling changes made on the T-Mobiles side for their 5G network. Forcing the M2000 to 4G only is a possible fix for the issue while it is being worked out. This can be done with the following steps.First, on a device connected to the M2000 open a browser and navigate to 192.168.1.1Once you land on this page sign-in in the top right corner. (By default the admin password will be the same as the default WiFi password if it has not been updated)Go to Settings > Advanced, the page you land on after clicking Advanced should be the Network tab, locate Network Mode Selection, change this from Auto to LTE/UMTS, save the changes at the bot
I recently added T-Mobile’s Home Internet Service to my account. Being in a rural area at the end of a copper loop my DSL speeds are usually around 3MB, so jumped on this as soon as I saw it was available. The speeds are GREAT so far, averaging around 25mb/20mb and I’ve seen 50mb a few times! However, my needs require putting the modem into bridge mode so my router/home network is getting the public IP. Disappointed there’s no bridge mode with this device? T-Mobile, please upgrade the firmware to allow this! In the meantime I’m looking at the Netgear LB1120-100NAS 4G LTE Modem. Is anyone using this and know if this will work with this service? This device also supports an external antenna so I use an outside mounted antenna/repeater to get a better signal. Anyone trying this (or if T-Mobile can respond) whether this will work I’d appreciate it. Thank you
A year or so ago, T-mobile provided me with a TM-AC1900 ROUTER ... (ASUS rebranded to T-Mobile). They also provided a Personal Cell Spot 4G LTE which I refer to as an Extender or perhaps Booster.Started having trouble with the router. Called T-mobile and was told I can exchange it for (even) an updated ROUTER at my local store. Went to store with old one and exchanged it for a 'newer' one. Got it home after closing time and discovered it was a (updated) Extender. At that point, I am ROUTERless. The store is now closed for the night.Called T-mobile. Explained the situation and was told the right device would be shipped promptly to the house. Got a confirming email ... indicated what was coming was ANOTHER Extender. Called TMO again. The shipment was cancelled and 'the right device' would ship out promptly. Next confirming email ... ANOTHER Extender.I even emailed the President of T-Mobile. I am not lying. By the time his assistant contacted me, I had yet ANOTHER device (PRO
I just purchased the Unlocked Galaxy S9+ International Version SM-G965F/DS and I am using it with my T-Mobile account. I discovered that WiFi calling and a few other features don't work. As you know, the processor on this version is the Exynos and not Qualcomm. Is there a way to flash the T-Mobile Rom on this S9+ version? If there is a way, does the phone have to be rooted or bootloader unlocked?Thank you,Mike
I just received the new gray addition home internet gateway. So far, I am happy with it. Also, I’m happy to get rid of my Cox internet high priced service. A few questions though.Has anyone figured out how to change the DNS settings? I want to get away from the default Google 184.108.40.206How can you tell if it is using the 4G LTE band or if it is using the 5G band? Status says I’m connected to both but 5G is on secondary. Is their a way to force it to use 5G?
I received my LTE router in the mail a few days ago and everything seems to be working just fine service wise. However, I am having issues with connecting specific devices to the router and logging into the router itself via the IP address and using the user name and password stated. Device issue: I seem to not be able to connect my Ring Doorbell to the T-Mobile LTE Router. I have tried it many times, followed the help guide for the router and the Ring doorbell several times as well without success. Has anyone else or T-Mobile tested the connection of a ring doorbell to the T-Mobile Home Internet LTE router?Logging in: I have typed in the IP address, entered the user name and password MANY times and it always says "login failed!". Should I hard reset the router? I wanted to try and avoid this as it took me about 2 hours to connect all my devices the first time and would love to avoid that.Thanks,-Myles
AT&T , Verizon etc .. actually know what "unlimited calls nd text are" this 4 hour limit is very "Limited". I just would like to know when a change is going to be made. It's annoying to be talking on the phone and have it hang up after 4 hourrs, and having to constantly call back. i understand when this was first implemented it was to prevent "ghost calls" but it's annoying and shouldnt be that hard to fix. Or that big of a problem smh. And i already know responses such as "not that many people talk on the phone for more than 4 hours " or "just hang up and call again" but ... it is very inconvenient .i Just feel like if its unlimited It should be, and i pay my bill every month like everyone else, so even if everyone doesnt talk on the phone for more than 4 hours. For us customers that do, i think there should be an option, cus i mean they literally update everything else. So Why not this??
Why does the latest T-Mobile App (220.127.116.11 Jan 28th) say the app is not yet ready for your account type ?
I have been using the "T-Mobile My Account" app (version 18.104.22.168) on my LG Leon phone for 1 month now.My plan is "Simply Prepaid (1GB 4G LTE)".Last night, during 'update all' from the play store, the "T-Mobile My Account" app was replaced with the "T-Mobile" app (version 22.214.171.124 - released Jan 28th 2016). However, when I launch the "T-Mobile" app I get the screen saying:-SORRY, WE'RE NOT READY FOR YOU YET!Unfortunately the T-Mobile app is not yet ready for your account type. However, please check the link below to be redirected to the My T-Mobile.com website. I also lost the drop down information that told me my account usage. This is very inconvenient and it also requires more data to 'browse' for my usage. Luckily, I was able to "uninstall" the updates and resume my previous app. Why does the new app not work with my account type ? Are there plans to fix this ?
Hi T-mobile community,The unlock policy says that The device must have been active on the T-Mobile network for at least 40 days on the requesting line.I want to unlock the BOGO phone without using it too much since I am thinking to give this as a gift to somebody. How can I do that? Do I have to use my sim card on the phone to make it count as active all the time or can I use the sim on my other phone? I am having trouble understand the concept. Please let me know how does it work. I have never had any carrier locked phone before. P.S. the line will be active. Thanks in advance!
In order to get into my community, people stop at the gate and it calls my phone. I have to enter a code to let them in but since I got the galaxy S8, the tone isn't long enough to be recognized and I can't let anyone in. Does anyone know how to change the tone from short to long?
Dear user T-mobile, I would really like to officially unlock my iPhone 6s plus. My name is Albert, i bought this phone on eBay , but I'm not the resident of USA, so I can't use it with local operators. My IMEI is XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX , i tried contacting T-mobile via live chat, but had no luck. I will really appreciate your help on my problem.* edited personal info - Marissa
