So we were getting ready for a 4 month motorhome trip and wanted to use our Gateway router tower to get Internet.   Got an email 3-4 weeks ago announcing that on May 8th T-Mobile was introducing Away Plan which would travel with you type tower and could hook up at locations with service anywhere in the US.   Sounded perfect till I tried to sign up.    Called 3-4 times to Customer Service and never did anyone who answered know anything about Away Plan.   One rep. said she signed me up and all was good.  I wasn’t.   The last rep. admitted that they really didn’t have any way for me to sign up.    What is going on?  I still want the service so maybe T-Mobile people could text me or something.   I would assume they would like to do this since the Away Plan is much more expensive.

They quietly backed off that plan for now.

Hmm.. wonder if that’s because of all the bad responses that they’ve hit from the older ‘price lock’ promise.  They might not have the resources to deal with it … right now.

This was before the phone plan increase.
