I switched to T-Mobile Internet over 3 months ago. The $200 Pre-paid Mastercard within 10 weeks was an incentive that led to me making this choice.  It has been 12 weeks and I have not heard a thing.  Has anyone had a similar experience?  I am preparing to switch back to my previous provider if this is how they treat customers.

I’m still waiting too. It has been over 10 weeks. T-mobile is typically simple and straightforward. I’m surprised the $200 prepaid Mastercard offer hasn’t been sent. I had to cover costs with the old intetste provider to make the switch. I hoped to have the Mastercard by now to help recoup the costs to switch.

Same here. It has been 5 weeks. I hope to see some progress soon.

You must register for the promotion. It is not automatically given to you just for signing up for the service. Here are the steps:

  1. Go to the promotions site -https://promotions.t-mobile.com
  2. Enter the phone number tied to your home internet line
  3. Enter the promotion code which is in the details of the rebate. Or call Tmobile support.

Mine took about 8 weeks to process.

I followed up to the address in the promotion for status.  The status was “DENIED” and reason was not activated in promotion timeframe (2/1-9/1/2024).  I activated on 3/12/2024 and called the number provided in the promotions site.  The agent was “surprised” the $200 was denied and said they would resubmit.  I pushed back having already waited 12 weeks.  She then said she would credit my account $200.  The credit was applied next day.

Appears there is some games being played here!

Good to hear you got it straightened out. I signed up for home internet line in April this year. Once I received the gateway router, I set it up (activation) the same day I received with the phone number tied to the router. I think I took 2-3 days to test and make sure everything worked before submitting the $200 rebate promotion. I remember there were two stipulations:

  1. The promotion must be valid at the time of submission.
  2. Promotion must be submitted within 30 days of line activation. Might have been 14 days, but I think it was 30. Going purely from memory.

In your case you definitely met criteria 1, but did you also submit the promotion within 30 days of activation? Lastly, I typed in my cellphone number out of habit but caught my mistake and changed to the home internet number before I submitted my promotion. Not sure what would have happened if I used my cell phone number by mistake but I could see other folks making the same mistake.

In fact when I got the rebate emailed to me and clicked on the link to activate my debit card, I kept typing my cellphone number into the verification page and kept failing. It wasn’t until my 3rd failed attempt that I went “duhhhh I need to enter the phone number of the router”. I had to log in to my Tmobile account to get the number since I couldn’t recall by memory.

It's been a year since I switched to T-Mobile Internet and I have a screenshot when I signed up saying I would get a $150 virtual prepaid Mastercard. I still haven't received it!

Hello, so I had signed up for this promo back in June and hadn't heard anything.  I ended up checking the website ( https://promotions.t-mobile.com/ ) login to your account, if you already submitted it the promo info as required it will give you a confirmation that you have completed the offer and will give you the option to check/track the status.  If it states it was sent it gives you the option to retrieve the digital card and add it to Google, Samsung, or Apple pay.  I know when I signed up it stated a physical card would be mailed, so I dunno if that will still happen or if they did this and just didn't notify anyone of the change.  Hope this helps.

I was supposed to get a $100 rebate too. I jumped thru the required hoops but talking to someone at T-Mobile to get the required information and listen to a pushy sales pitch for another line they guy had problems getting my information correct. I was switched to a different department then disconnected. After screwing around on the phone for about 40 minutes I gave up. No rebate for me they made it too difficult. Thanks so much.

Maybe more better business bureau complaints would help them turn around. Maybe.

Everyone thats waiting on the $200 Master Card Gift Card i promise if you file a report with the better business bureau and put tmobile on blast you will have your gift card the next day like i did and it was fast boom had it the next day and ever the big big tmobile boss reached out to me through email because of the report i filed with the bbb i swear i got it so fast so to my fellow tmobile friends reach out the better business bureau and keep on and dont let it go u will get it

Ok I hade been waiting for over 2 months for the 200 dollar card I don’t want to make a report to the BBB but at this point I need to where do I go to make the report

I am one of the people who haven’t received their $200 prepaid virtual card yet. I have signed up for the 5G Home Internet service early July and submitted my request for the $200 prepaid promotion on 7/16/24. When I check the status of my submission, it says that I received my reward, but I have not. Not by mail or email. So, I reported T-Mobile misdemeanor to Better Business Bureau (BBB) today. I hope the issue is resolved as soon as possible.

The receive part where it says received that means that they just received your submission. You gotta call the promotions team to figure out what day they’re gonna send it. I file a report to with the Better Business Bureau and supposedly I’m getting the reward this week, but we’ll see.

Same here… was a big incentive why I picked T-mobile, but they must bank on people forgetting I guess?!?
