Talk about all the stuff that comes along with T-Mobile's Prepaid service.
Hello. I apologize if this question has already been asked and answered--I just couldn’t find a satisfactory answer through a quick search or when calling T-Mobile customer service.I just signed up for a $10 Connect prepaid plan with 1GB of data. On the usage details (under data), I see both categories called “whitelisted” and “data” under category for the service of internet access (a copy of the usage detail is attached). Can anyone give me an easy to understand explanation of why there is two categories of “whitelisted” and “data,” both of which really reduces the overall data anyway? One site (https://techshift.net/what-is-t-mobile-whitelist-and-regular-usage/) seems to indicate that “whitelisted” “doesn’t count towards a plan’s data bucket.” I’m not sure what that really means or if it is even accurate since there aren’t many similar explanations that I could find.Any assistance would be appreciated.
Hello, I have a prepaid T-Mobile Connect plan and I’m not able to view how much Data I’ve used on my iPhone 13...under Settings-→ Cellular Data there is supposed to be an option to view ‘This Billing Period’ and/or ‘Last Billing Period’ but those options are not there for meUnder Settings→ Cellular Data all I can see is ‘System Services’ which shows the various apps and how much data they use...I can view my Data usage if I log into my T-Mobile online account but I would like to be able to also view that on my phone
Is there a pay as you go plan of t mobile while I am in the us. I dont use the t mob internet nor its calling or texting much, mostly rely on wifi. Is there a plan, so that my number remains active and I can continue to receive text and calls, but dont have to pay for a full prepaid plan?
Hello! I have the physical t-mobile SIM and I want to transfer phone number to my eSIM account / to convert it into eSIM. At the moment I have two tmobile accounts and numbers, is it possible to merge em? (both accounts are prepaid)I talked to the tech support - and every time I called I had a different information:1st time i was told that in 24hrs everything would be done smoothly (nothing happened so I called again)2d time I was told that T-Mobile doesn't support a feature to transfer the physical sim into the eSIM (when both numbers are tmobile numbers)before the first call I tried to reach a text support online - they also didn't resolve any questions and just said that tmobile doesnt fully support eSIM.What is the truth here? Is it really not possible? Also an extra eSIM question - if I want to use the same eSIM on a different phone, how to achieve it? Or it is impossible now to perform any kind of eSIM transfers? Thanks for understanding.
Hi, I made a payment for my prepaid T mobile account few days back. I got an email notification saying my payment has been made, however, there is no place I could get a receipt for the payment made. I spoke to the payment agent and he said there is no way T mobile could provide a receipt for payments made for recharge account. I'm surprised that in USA that T mobile could charge my card and still not provide receipt. Could any of you folks help ? My expenses are borne by my employer and I need a receipt for every payment made. Failing to do so will result in me paying for the expenses. Kindly help.
I have some phones on prepaid plans for relatives. I will be needing to cancel them soon. A couple of them have balances in the accounts. Will those balances be returned to me when I cancel or will I just lose that money? Answer from a T-mobile rep would be welcome.
I’ve been with T-mobile for a long time and with the prepaid for 9 or 10 years now. I’m getting text saying I need to upgrade my phone because of 5G. Went to my local T-Mobile waited an hour and was told I need to come here to the site to see if I can get the free phone upgrade just because I’m on prepaid plan. Things have been pretty hard and I don't have money to upgrade anything. So does that mean I just lose my phone service at the start of July? That would really suck I have so many health problems I talk to my doctors the most. Hoping someone can answer my question.
I just finished a holiday in Hawaii and got a T-Mobile prepaid plan. I am home in Canada now.Does anyone know if I can reuse this sim card in another year from?I will be going back to Hawaii and it would make it much easier if I could just reuse the sim and join in the same plan that I just had.Any information would be helpful. Thanks
I decided to switch from straight talk to T-Mobile prepaid. I paid for a month of service and received a Sim card. I wanted to port port my number from the previous service and T-Mobile said they could. The new sim can make a call but not receive one. Can use data just fine. Cannot send or receive texts or MMS unless it's from T-Mobile. This morning I got a T-Mobile text saying there was a problem porting my number and that they'd call me, however this Sim cannot receive calls. What do I do? I called them and they said they would port it and that my issue was that the PIN I gave them was incorrect. They asked for the correct PIN, but I NEVER made a PIN or provided one. This whole thing is a mess and every call goes exactly the same.
Currently have a simply prepaid plan with T-mobile that I am very happy with. It uses an old fashioned SIM card. Looking to buy a new apple phone and use the eSim technology. It looks like my plan is offered on eSim. Question is - can I keep my existing number? I know you can port an existing number but this is essentially porting from T-mobile to t-mobile. Want to be sure before I drop $700. Has anyone done this and if so how?
I set up a Prepaid Tablet Data Account ("Mobile Internet Network Access) about 3 weeks ago, and received an email "Welcome to T-Mobile" with my new phone number. I have called Technical Support several times, because when I try to login to My T-Mobile (using either phone number or email), there is an error message that I am not authorized to use this account. I went to a T-Mobile Store, and they were able to access my account, so I know it's active.T-Mobile Support just said this is a known issue, affecting many new accounts. The last tech said she would "escalate" my request, and get back to me. I've heard nothing.Seems like a wimpy reply. Anyone else having this problem, or know how to resolve it?Thanks!
Hi,I used prepaid account about 7 months and switched to postpaid one week ago. I spoke with 5-7 different t-mobile representative/technicians (spend about 3 hours total) and no one can't help or say when I can use my account. I see "Uh-oh, it looks like we have our wires crossed. Please try again later." error message when I am trying to login in. I can't use my Netflix as well without access to my profile.
Hi, I live overseas and I use my prepaid T-Mobile sim card & number for when I come to work / visit the US. I have not been to the US in a few months now and it looks like my number has been deactivated. Is there any way I can get assigned a new number without having to go into a t-mobile store?
Ever since Friday October 12, 2018, I've been able to complete the online login on t-mobile.com to access my prepaid accounts, it worked fine prior to that. On that day after I logged in I was greeted with a message saying my password was too old and it forced me to change the password which I did. After logging in successfully with the new password, as usual I get the "Select account" screen where I select prepaid number I want to manage as I have multiple prepaid numbers on this account, the link to that page is: https://my.t-mobile.com/choose-account.html After selecting a number I get the message: "We are currently having trouble with your request. Please wait a few minutes and try again."I get the same message if I select the other numbers as well. So it appears whatever changes they made to the site last week didn't account for prepaid accounts with multiple numbers associated with the login as I can't complete the login anymore. Can someone please forward this to the appropriate
I have a postpaid account which is working fine and I can manage my postpaid phone lines just fine. However, I also had to create a separate account with a separate email address to manage a prepaid phone for an elderly relative.Immediately after I log in to my prepaid account (email address ending in @gmail.com), it asks me to answer security questions, to which I no longer remember the answers. I probably entered random answers when I first set them up, because I never forget my password (I use LastPass). In fact my password is still working just fine, so I don't even understand why it's asking me to verify security questions after I have successfully logged in?I thought security questions were used only when you forget your password (which again, I never do). There is no other verification method offered on the Security Questions screen. How do I get past these security questions if I don't know the answers, but do know my password?
Please help me with a number porting that T-Mobile has not been able to complete even though I've called them over 5x in about 12 days, including two phone calls where both T-Mobile Pre-Paid number porting team and Spectrum customer service were on the call together with me.History:1. Got a T-Mobile prepaid SIM and activated it on a iPhone2. Registered a T-Mobile online account using that information3. Submitted a number porting request using the online tool: - Provided the Spectrum account number which had the format of 202-XXXXXXXXX-001 (202-<nine digit number>-001) - Provided the four digit account PIN that appeared on my Spectrum billing statement - Provided the phone number of the landline currently being provided by Spectrum/TWC4. Called a few days later since no text messages were received on my T-Mobile prepaid account - The temporary number was assigned by the in-store salesman when I purchased the pre-paid SIM - Was transferred to the numb
