Who will I could tell you is the resolution given to me worked I’ve been using my T-Mobile for about eight months I’ve never been happier with it my garage door will open and close wherever I am I could be out of the country I can open and close the door. I can never do it before I put the additional router. I don’t understand why people love to trace their tails & go round and round. I find an answer and I move on from it. I will be very hesitant to help anyone. It seems no good D goes unpunished. Good luck.
The only way to fix your issue is to get a router and plug it into your T-Mobile gateway. This problem took two weeks to figure out. It was confirmed by the last engineer I spoke to at Chamberlin. Your garage door opener wants to shake hands with a router. Your T-Mobile gateway signals I am a cell phone and this is my number ### ### ####. The garage opener says no thank you.I have T-Mobile and I hooked up an Orbi with the garage door and immediately all the issues disappeared.
It is a simple problem. My Q does not see a modem/router, My-Q see’s a T-Mobile telephone number, thus it see’s a cell phone. It will never connect to matter what some one tells you.Lowes was coming back to tear out their install, I went through 3 Techs on the phone before the ? are you using a T-Mobile device.
Several months ago I put in the latest Chamberlin model. I’ll save you lots of aggravation. You will never get your “Q” to link with the T-Mobile device. The only way is to get yourself a Router like the Dynalink. I had already purchased a router for Xfinity.https://www.amazon.com/Dynalink-DL-WRX36-8-Stream-Wireless-3-6Gbps/dp/B096K9SVCT/ref=sr_1_3?crid=5S8V69U83Y8R&keywords=dynalink&qid=1648574680&sprefix=dynalink%2Caps%2C162&sr=8-3Plug your router into the back of the T-Mobile device. I named my new router a different name and password. After this I went through the process and looked for my new name and everything connected. It has worked perfectly without any issue.
Your T-Mobile device looks like a cell phone to many systems. Pick up a router and plug it into the back. use the new router and you should be all good. https://www.amazon.com/Dynalink-DL-WRX36-8-Stream-Wireless-3-6Gbps/dp/B096K9SVCT/ref=sr_1_1?crid=X186SZV55VGO&keywords=Dynalink+WiFi+6+AX3600+Router&qid=1646782344&sprefix=dynalink+wifi+6+ax3600+router%2Caps%2C385&sr=8-1
Well you did the basic to get your service back to normal. Since that didn’t help it can very well be a hardware issue. Overheating has caused problems. I use a cooling fan and it has been just great.Your next step is Tech Support 844.275.9310, tell them everything you did to try to fix your Gateway. They can do stuff remotely which may turn out to be a new replacement. Good luck.
I would do a factory reset. Do you know when you device was upgraded to the new version? Was it last 24 hours? This is the new Version:1.2103.00.0338, If its updated something could have caused an error. A total reset is the best way to clear that. If this first doesn’t fix the problem, then you need a device replacement. Good luck to you.
I’m not sure why they stopped working. I have ~35 plug/switches they all work fine. They can only work on the 2.5mhz. side of the T-Mobile router. They will never work under 5 mhz. They are designed for 2.5 Only. Everyone has a different situation. I will tell you that adding a router helps in most cases.https://www.amazon.com/Dynalink-DL-WRX36-8-Stream-Wireless-3-6Gbps/dp/B096K9SVCT/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=36Y95W5YVXV2A&keywords=dynalink&qid=1645192254&sprefix=dynalink%2Caps%2C132&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEyVUNERFMwUzBRREJSJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwOTU3ODUzMUdLNE1TS0ZTWlo1NCZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwNTU5MDQxMUozVFA1M1pKVzhLUyZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX2F0ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU=It took a while to get my “Can” perfect I would not trade it for anything. $50.00 is a winner. My speeds are excellent.
My printer was fine, however my Chamberlin Q opener would not connect. The reason is some of our devices see the T-Mobile Gateway as a cell phone. You will need to add a router like this one. Just plug it in the back and you are set.https://www.amazon.com/Dynalink-DL-WRX36-8-Stream-Wireless-3-6Gbps/dp/B096K9SVCT/ref=asc_df_B096K9SVCT/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=545942253969&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=970509905032439708&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9027759&hvtargid=pla-1430649047729&psc=1Give it the name and password you used before you hooker up the T-Mobile 5G. My devices work perfectly now.
You have nothing to lose but to try. I sent my “can” back, a few days later my brother got one around the corner and he got great numbers. I re-ordered it. Meanwhile I watched every video on the net and I called T-Mobile and was transferred to a T-Mobile engineer, he told me the “can” doesn’t like being in a window or direct sunlight, keep it away. My kitchen has 2 windows and putting it higher was the game changer. If you have a tall piece of furniture in your living room or dining room give it a try. It just may be perfect or close.
I'm only getting about 25 to 45 Mbps down and similar up. I keep seeing people get in the 200s down! How can I get those kind of speeds? I'm not very far from a tower and I've tried the Nokia Gateway all over the house! I was in the same boat until I placed the “can” in the kitchen on top of the upper cupboard. My can jumped to over 350 down & ~11-16 up. I used an extension cord after it worked out I drilled through the back of the cupboard from top to bottom 3 holes ran the plug wire from the top down where it met an outlet. Then I added a new plug fastened with screws for ~$2.00. All set. I don’t know why but the “can” likes being up by the ceiling.
Same here, that battery won’t help if power goes out. I believe that is for T-Mobile to access the unit with no power. So I ended up purchasing 5 of these backups. They are refurbished by CyberPower and are excellent. The price is spectacular for what you get. I put them on the T-router, my orbi mesh system and a TV. Recently my Cummings generator was installed and it takes 4-7 seconds to switch. I was losing the internet and mesh, no more. Its all great now.https://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=367444&CatId=234&csid=_86
This has been a common issue for many of us. It is easy to fix. Turn off your gateway. ( push that little button in the back of the unit.) If you can unplug it from the wall too. Give it 2-5 minutes and restart. it will be back to what you expect. It the early morning while the house is sleeping and I get up and use the T-Mobile app on my phone, go to on the bottom “more” and hit reset gateway. This will reset your internet and clean out your components. This 5G phenomenon is so new and T-Mobile is rushing to get their network to be its best, it is all growing pains.
I did in fact have a problem like you described. We would lose our internet connection on and off. I disconnected my Netgear-Orbi 6 wifi mesh system and put it back in the box. I’m just using the T-Mobile Tower and it is working very good. Are you sure you are on Software Version: 1.2101.00.1609. If you are not I was told to push the off button in the back of the tower, then unplug the unit. Wait 30 minutes and restart. This will make your tower run a check for any software that needs updating.
Thermal Issues With Home Internet Gateway/Router as a Cause of Dropped/Slow Internet or Wi-Fi Connection
I used my hand held temperature and pointed it to my gateway. It read “HIGH” I bought this fan and set it to medium. Its very silent. I found this on Reddit.https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00G059G86?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details When I point my Temperature back at the Tower it now says 90 degrees. You can plug the USB right in to the back of the router tower or put a little brick on the end. It really makes a difference. This fan is a very high quality/build device. I’m very happy with it.
