I have a similar problem. I’m currently Magenta 1.0 and would be okay moving to Magenta Max while I have my current promotion (pay for 3 lines get 1 free) but I might be losing one of my lines so I asked if in 6 months I could switch from Magenta Max (with 4 lines) to Magenta Max 55+ (with 3 lines). The first person said yes the iPhone upgrade promotion worked with Magenta Maxx 55+ and then when I asked the next customer service person he said no it didn’t work. First they are super unclear about these promotions and second they give me different information each time I talk to them.The thing about the Apple/T-Mobile iPhone deal is that the fine print says it is for “customers on a Magenta Max plan”. This implies to me that there are more than one Magenta Max plan and any should work.
