I know all of Google's phones were updated except the Pixel 6 and pro. I'm not tech savvy to even try to side load it. How is the new update? I'm certainly having issues and the only fix for me is to restart the phone a dozen times a day. I really need a working phone. Its good but not great and sideload it's not the hard Here is a video all software comes from Google ...think Google it's taking there time to release because a lot ppl finding bugs specially on uk n Canada networks I've read about many network connection issues with the new update. Maybe it's best being delayed as it seems Google is still having problems.
Google releases the updates whether if the phone was purchased through Google or Tmobile on a staggered basis. Verizon is in partnership with Google which is why their phones probably received it first. I understand what you are saying, but before I bought two Pixel 6 phones from T-mobile my wife bought a Pixel 3A when T-mobile was selling them. She received every month the security update and Android 12 when it was released. That was the reason I bought two Pixel 6’s. There are major issues with the Pixel 6 which this update is to fix. I’ve been with Tmobile 15 years and they are very slow to release updates.
Hey Chris your group of experts online and on the phone know crap about any GPS or other issues such as the battery. I'm sure we wouldn't mind receiving security patches from Android either. Plus there is a new version of Android 10 out and it would be nice to pass it along. Thanks for listening.
It will use Google maps as my default. I just came back from a 300 mile trip and no problems. Google maps informed me of an accident on I 95 and rerouted me around it. I'm not saying the phone doesn't have issues as it does. I do think TMobile has to be more involved with updates and security patches.
I haven't had any GPS issues using 5G. I use Android Auto which connects my phone to my car screen. I've used it every day and countless miles and it works perfectly. I tell it where to go and it calculates the route and time. I use all the screen features such as finding gas stations and each time its dead on. I have never used Google Maps or Waze although Android Auto uses either.
OnePlus blames TMobile and T-Mobile blames OnePlus. The perfect situation to do nothing. Amazingly T-Mobiles 7T has Android 10 and the OnePlus pro and 7T are basically identical. I don't know how anyone can say they are in the FUT program when TMobile decided to stop selling the OnePlus 7 Pro and said it had no plans to update the 7 Pro to Android 10. Since no one of importance from T-Mobile reads this thread it's time to say goodbye to OnePlus. I'll never but a phone from them through TMobile.
We could update directly from OnePlus if TMobile didn't remove the local update button. If TMobile isn't going to keep up with updates and security patches they should allow us access to OnePlus. We're going on 3 months without a security patch yet the cheaper OnePlus 7T receives all the attention. If TMobile thinks I'm going to buy the McLaren 5G they are mistaken. Where the hell are the T-Mobile expert's who track this community?
Granted the FUT program is a good thing, but as you stated it hasn't started and is being pushed back several more weeks. It's been two months since the program was announced tomorrow. I can't understand why such a long delay. If it was running I don't think so many would be complaining about T-mobile.
T-mobile couldn't care less if your camera is pathetic as mine is. I have the same version which came with the phone. I should have purchased the Pixel but I thought T-mobile actually was on the ball with updates. T-mobile's customer service is geared to lead you on and tell you how important you are. I've been with them for 14 years and they really don't care. Going to the international version seems like a lot of effort when T-Mobile can correct the issues with an update.
I just looked at my build number which is 9.5.9 GM31CB. I can understand different versions receive different updates. OP community can be very confusing at times when it comes to the 7 PRO. I wish there was a T-mobile Oneplus 7 Pro thread. You seem very knowledgeable with the 7 Pro. Do you believe my phone is truly up to date? Thanks in advance.
I'm on Jump on Demand with T-Mobile but I believe I can just pay off the phone and it's mine. Does anyone know if T-mobile will unlock phone and whatever else is necessary so I can receive my updates directly from OnePlus? It now appears OnePlus has another new update 9.5.11BTW does T-Mobile ever read the community posts?
What has been your experience with the OnePlus FUT program? Are you receiving the latest updates and have they resolved the ghost touches, scrolling issues, and camera problems? In other words when OnePlus says they are rolling out 9.5.10 it's not being sent to TMobile customers?
