Thanks for your reply, The rates, I was told, are the same for calling to/receiving calls from the US or calling numbers in Europe--25 cents per minute. What I was NOT told is that wi-fi calling costs $3 a minute from anywhere abroad. I was not told to use only regular calls with my plan and to avoid wi-fi. So I was not cognizant of whether I made those calls on one or other. (BTW, this was an Android phone, not an Iphone.)
I learned the hard way that international calls on wi-fi are charged $3.00 a minute, not the 25 cents T-mobile states on the terms of its plan. I even had called them prior to my travels to verify plan details, and nothing was said about these differing charges. So, user beware., I guess.
I have T-Mobile and was just in Europe. I learned the hard way that wi-fi calling does not cost the usual 25 cents per minute, but $3.00 per minute. That was not made clear to me
