Calls go straight to voicemail - phone doesn't ring (Samsung S6 on Nougat)

Reading through this, I have the same problem.  oho was right next to me and then voicemail notification cane up.  Nothing showing in recent calls, do not disturb was nit on, phone was not muted.  I am in cancer treatment and missing a call is not acceptable.  I have turned off WiFi to see if that is the problem.  Is there a setting not to use WiFi for calls?  I'll look.Glad to see it's just not me, but worried this is a problem with the carrier.

I'm in Portland ME. I got tmobike since I am in Canada and Mexico for 6 to7 months a year. This is the first summer back home in New England, and thesignal strength is not good. Out at the lake Verizon users get a strongsignal, at my home in Intervale NH, I have to sit on the front porch tohave a conversation. I restarted my phone and then get a callback fromMaine Med right away. So for now it's working (at least once).
