Hi all - New T-Mobile home internet user, here. I set up my 5G internet gateway (silver cylinder) this weekend and it works just fine. I have Frontier DSL and Charter Spectrum now and T-Mobile is currently way outperforming Frontier DSL and outperforming Charter Spectrum almost always.I found this article about installing a MIMO antenna using the internal gateway ports. https://www.waveform.com/a/b/guides/hotspots/t-mobile-5g-gatewayHas anyone tried it? I would be interested in experiences and results. Thanks in advance!
New Pixel 6 Pro. Worked fine for first few days. Now when the phone shows connected to 5G UC, I can not receive any data or connect to internet. There's an exclamation point in the notification area. If the phone shows just 5G or LTE them I can receive data. Tried resetting all networks and still won't work on 5G UC band.
I am currently working from home. I use a company provided laptop with an always on VPN client to access my job's servers. No problem with spectrum cable. I have the brand new grey t-mobile gateway and cannot get in. My IT guy worked with me and says it must be how the ports are provisioned. He said to call and get level 2 support. He wanted to know about specific ports. Did that, was on hold over an hour. Tech I spoke with basically said they don't do ports. What?! In fact when I gave her the port #s to look into she basically said no, thats not how it is designed. The tech I spoke with before her said WAN is blocked by default. What?! The level 2 person said that was not right. I get about 130 Mbps down and about 35 Mbos up. So speed is good. My tvs, tablets, laptops, nintendo gaming, vivint(connect with lan cable to one of two ports on gateway) are streaming working fine. I can surf the web from the company laptop. I can also get to my MS Teams & Outlook. But when I try
I received this device and have great service so long as I place it on the top level of my house! I want to utilize the LAN ports for an ethernet connection to my home router but it does not seem to negotiate with my router or even my switch? I have tried both dhcp and static settings for LAN1 and I still get no link lights on the router or switch. Connect a WIN10 laptop to the same ethernet cable and it will work with both dhcp and static assignments? What am I not seeing here?
How does the battery backup option work on the High Speed Home Internet NOK 5G21 Gateway device. When the device gets unplugged or losses power, the device configures to battery operation, then the WiFi is disabled. I also tried using Ethernet. Neither connection method works. In the manual it says “During battery operation, neither Wi-Fi nor Ethernet connections are supported.” What is the use to have battery backup if WiFi nor Ethernet connections are supported? How can I use the device during battery operation?
As soon as AT&T shut down 2G I switched to T-Mobile.Now I am hearing rumors that T-Mobile is shutting down 2G at the end of 2020.I have an Ebay bushiness unlocking AT&T older phones for use on T-Mobile. Shutting down 2G will make all these phones useless, creating an unimaginable amount of e-waste and destroying me and many others source of income.A large amount of people still use these older 2G-only phones, due to their reliability and people disliking the lack of options, poor repairability, and poor build quality in the modern phone market.Perhaps you can add a fee for 2G service to help keep up the cost of maintaining the older network, but I beg, do NOT shut down 2G.ESPECIALLY because of the COVID-19 pandemic, it is an incredibly terrible idea to force the shutdown at this moment. Many businesses will not be able to cough up the cost for new equipment that relied on the legacy 2G network.
So I just got two LTE galaxy watch 4's to use when I don't want to carry my phone with me (while exercising). After spending two hours at a T-Mobile store and another hour on the phone with a technician, they escalate and another tech comes on and advises me that the galaxy watch 4 cannot be used as a standalone on t mobile. It can only be used when connected and near the phone its paired with! WHY would T-Mobile sell an LTE watch that can only be used when connected to the phone? That is called a Bluetooth watch! Very frustrated with them wasting 3 hours of my time, when this could have been mentioned when the watches were ordered. And even then, why sell LTE watches instead of Bluetooth watches? Has anyone one had this issue?
I've been trying to buy the Galaxy S9 from T-Mobile since the day it was released. I've tried literally every single day on multiple devices and even through the app on my phone, my mom's phone, and my sister's. No matter what I do it always comes up with an "Oops we hit a snag" error and then sends me back to select the phone and payment options after it starts to load the final screen that let's me purchase it. I'm so annoyed at this point that I'm ready to switch to another carrier. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, have you found a solution for it? I've tried clearing my cache, I've tried incognito mode, I've (as I already stated) used several different devices with no luck.
Hello, Did anyone else have an issue today when they redeemed the Fuel Rewards with Shell only $0.05 was credited in lieu of the $.10 off? My Fiancé and I are confused for we confirmed we are at Gold Status and can’t get through to a Fuel Rewards Rep or a T-Mobile Rep (been on hold for almost an hour and a half (90 minutes).
When I receive a text message, I often get it and it shows 5+ minutes old. Its even been in excess of a day - this when I have plenty of signal and can make voice calls and use data without issue. I use the standard stock Messaging app. I also have delays sending messages. It spins and spins and a reboot rarely helps.I'm using a S5. I deleted all the messages, no change. It has been factory reset with no change. I used to have a Note 4 with the same issue. My zip is 30005. I have been having this problem for over a year. I've ignored it mostly because I got told about service improvements in my area and promised a booster that never arrived. But now the delays are causing me great pains because more and more websites are using SMS for 2-factor and a message that takes over 4 minutes to arrive DOES NOT WORK for 2-factor as the code expires before I receive the message. So I now need this figured out.
Hi,I can't access my T-Mobile account in the web. I can access no problem in the app. I tried Chrome and Microsoft Edge. I cleared history, cache, cookies with the same result. After I login, the page only display the footer…This has been happening for months. I was able to see the account a couple of weeks ago when I clear the cache. I tried the next day and even though I deleted everything (cache, cookies), I couldn't access it.This is a business account. Please help
Every half hour I get a popup message. It says “T-Mobile keeps stopping” and below that it has “App info” and “Close app” first one takes me to the app page where I can do a “force stop” (yes I tried that and it doesn’t stop the popup) second option just closes the popup. Then it comes back a few minutes later. This is driving me nuts.Things I’ve tried: restarted phone, deleted and reinstalled the appI have a OnePlus Nord N200 5Gandroid version 11Model DE21184GB RAM, 64GB ROMused 64 GB storage and have 37.24GB leftAnyone know whats going on?Just noticed I’ve used 64GB in storage and I have 64 GB of ROM, could this be it even though I have 37GB left in storage? Not tech savvy, which I’m sure is obvious!
We jumped on home internet service as soon as we heard about it. For a long time now, Comcast has been the only choice in Baltimore City and it feels like they squeeze city residents to subsidize lower prices for their customers in the counties where they have competition. Our current Comcast bill is just over $100 per month with their most basic service, a bundled Internet + TV. We don’t even use the TV service but they wouldn’t give us a plan with just internet service. This costs us about $110/month. I can plug my brother’s address (he has VZ Fios) in on the Comcast website and get offers for $39.99/month. I’ve been looking for a way to break free of Comcast for years now so I want to love this service but it’s just not measuring up.We had one of the mobile internet gateways delivered on 3/9. I started testing it immediately and was consistently getting speeds well over 300Mbps down on the first floor of my house. I even hit above 400Mbps a few times. So I went ahead and put that g
Is it possible to get a static IP with the 5G Home Internet service? Normally I wouldn’t need it but since my connection dies at least once a week I get a new IP every time my modem reboots. I work from home and whenever my IP changes I have to update some of my clients’ firewalls.
Folks,Looking for a way to block data usage at certain times for my kid. We have unlimited data, and he uses it late into the night.Yes, I know the old fashioned way of taking the phone away would work 😊 , but he stays up later than me and I don't mind that, but I want him in bed by say midnight, and I want to cut off his data usage.Family Allowances DOES NOT stop data usage as far as I can tell. I already have that turned on.I may have to go back to limited data since at least that would stop him.Barring the above, is there a way to turn off his hotspot/tethering? There seems to be a way for T-Mobile to do this centrally since they can control the data limit for it...Thanks in advance!
Hi. I joined T-Mobile last week with my family on a Magenta® MAX 55+ program. Among the various conditions that we were offered, we were told that if we move with three lines, the third line will be free, and that our monthly bill will be $90. After two days I received my first bill for $135, charging me for the third line. I was sure that it was a mistake, and called to ask T-Mobile to fix it. But I was told that they are “sorry” and that I am “ineligible for the promotion”. I asked to speak with a supervisor that apologized for the “miscommunication” but said that she could not help.Do other people have an experience of being mislead when joining T-Mobile? If so, did you get it resolve? What’s a good way to deal with this.Thanks.
Wondering if anyone else is newly having this issue. I found this thread that started two years ago but still had replies within the last four months and there doesn’t appear to be a solution. I spent nearly an hour on the phone with tech support earlier and though we tried a ton of resets on my phone, as well as her manually changing what tower my phone is connecting to, I still cannot receive text messages from most accounts, including T-Mobile verification codes. Tech support had to text the other phone on our account so I could verify it was me. Many things require two-factor authentication these days, so I can’t just go forward not receiving texts. Tech support said they would monitor my account for 48 hours, but wouldn’t be able to tell if I was being sent messages that ultimately weren’t getting delivered, so I’m not sure what the monitoring is going to do. I’m searching for any type of solution at this point. I feel like someone ought to be able to hit the master reset on my ph
So apparently I cannot connect to sites that need to verify your location because my new tmobile internet service shows me as being located in a State that is different from my actual location.Been on hold for 50 mins to speak to someone, not sure if I will get anyone tonight and this is not looking good for customer service support that you don’t have a different number specifically for tech issues like this.
I just got a email saying "You recently deleted your Mobile Internet account." but I haven't made ANY changes to my account, so what's going on here!?Just for reference, yes, I checked to make sure it was the actually from t-mobile. It's the same no-reply address I always get from them. I want to know how and what has been changed/deleted on my account when I didn't do anything!
I have international roaming available as part of plan, but phone won’t connect to internet. I am currently in a city called Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. The phone connects to a strong signal from Vodafone - India (and shows all bars are up on signal anywhere in city). But, when i try to start up chrome browser, it immediately shows “NO INTERNET”. Has been consistently doing it for past few days that i have been here. The obvious checks (Mobile data, Data roaming, Network operator etc) have all been checked. So, i am starting to think that vodafone india is throttling or cheating Tmobile on their end of the deal. If not, how can tmobile give me data service here ? I need to get this working soon, since i will be india for a while…..currently, i am getting by only on wifi connects.
Help! I’m visiting Canada. I usually do for 4 days every month. I’ve not had any issues until this trip. I have coverage, 4 bars with Bell or Telus LTE or 3G but I can’t get data to work. This is incredibly inconvenient. I‘ve tried tech support multiple times and they have opened a ticket. This is since Thursday and I have not heard back. I head back to the US tonight so I’m not sure they will resolve it. I’m back visiting in 2 weeks for the holidays. I’m considering changing to Verizon because I’ll be in Canada for 2 weeks and no data leaves me in a tough spot (can’t get an uber, no iMessage, no google maps etc). Have tried:Reset Network Settings #766# LTE and 3GAuto carrier and manually select (Telus and Bell)Restarted phone, hard restartWhat else can I try? This is so inconvenient.
