Hello. Question, I am looking at buying my son a ASUS ROG phone 5 as a graduation gift, he’s attending college in the fall as a “video game” designer, thought it would be a nice gift. But, I can’t find anywhere that T-Mobile supports ASUS on it’s network. Even the seller cannot or won’t confirm if it’s available on T-Mobile, will only state that it works on Mint. Any help would be greatfully appreciated. Thanks!
Hi,I can't access my T-Mobile account in the web. I can access no problem in the app. I tried Chrome and Microsoft Edge. I cleared history, cache, cookies with the same result. After I login, the page only display the footer…This has been happening for months. I was able to see the account a couple of weeks ago when I clear the cache. I tried the next day and even though I deleted everything (cache, cookies), I couldn't access it.This is a business account. Please help
I’ve just received my nw Nokia 5G gateway, and while it is not perfect, it does work. I can use my vpn, I can get my Eero mesh system to interface just fine. However, I’d like to figure out what acceptable cell tower metrics are. I’m totally blind, so I can’t see the touch screen at the top instead, I use VoiceOver on the iPhone to look at the cell tower metrics on the app. Is there anybody who knows that the proper values are? Also, is there any kind of beta firmware for this device to test out some of the new features?
Is it possible to get a static IP with the 5G Home Internet service? Normally I wouldn’t need it but since my connection dies at least once a week I get a new IP every time my modem reboots. I work from home and whenever my IP changes I have to update some of my clients’ firewalls.
I travel a lot in the USA. Next Month I will be living in a private home in another state. This residence does not have internet service. o, I’m wondering if I can bring my T-Mobile Home Internet device with me, and will it function in a location different from my regular reesidence?
Ever since tmobile started switching over to 5G and merged with sprint the service is absolutely terrible. These days it'll say I have 5 bars with 5G and I can't load up anything. I generally keep my phone on LTE in order for it to be usable but it's still super slow. It's not just in new areas either, I've had tmobile for 10+ years and places that used to be great won't even load up a snap chat properly anymore let alone something high speed worthy. My friends and family that have tmobile are all considering switching, most likely to Verizon, and I'm trying to hold out but man is it getting hard. When exactly will tmobile get through these "growing pains?"
Ok I decided to see what an external antenna would do and wow.I got the kit from Waveform as it’s an ok price and reputable money back company. So I have an n41 tower 3 miles to the SW, a B66 .5 miles to the W, and a n71 2 miles to the NW.If I put the can in the NW window it get the B66 ok and never holds the n71 for long. If I put the can in the S window it just does not hold the n41 or the B66.So I have been living with the can in the NW window with the B66 and 75/25 average and solid for days on end slow and steady.I wanted the n41 tower as my test show it rock on my phone so I figured let’s see if an ext ant can do anything. So remember can in S window cannot get the B66 to the W and also n41 is to weak. Open up can, remove 3 and 4, snap on new leads, put can back together, hook up ext ant that is just outside window aimed right at the n41 tower. Time to rock great signal and 650/110 speeds. So not that bars matter but in the NW window B66 was 3 bars almost -100dBm with SNR of 10db so
I just upgraded to the iPhone 12Pro. I have had a slew of issues this week regarding MMS/SMS messages with androids. Whether in an individual message or in a group chat, I am missing messages. In the group chat with androids, I also miss the texts with iPhone users because everything is sent via MMS.This is incredibly frustrating and no one seems to have an answer. Apple is quick to say it’s the carriers problem but T-Mobile says it is an Apple problem. I am missing full conversations with people and I don’t know about it until I’m asked in person why I’m just not answering anything. This was also happening on my iPhone 8+ as well, so I don’t necessarily think it’s the device per se. I am running iOS 14.2. Users on Reddit are saying this is happening to them too, and it’s not just iOS 14.2 and not just the iPhone 12 series.Everything in my messages is turned on so I should be receiving these texts. My friends phones are all different types of androids and different carriers, but it seem
Hi, I got the new Home Internet Cylinder router. Pretty simple setup but the speeds are good and the price is right. I have a few devices I have always used WPS to connect. Some extenders and some indoor cameras. Can’t figure out how to do it now. I do not see a WPS button.Am I missing something? The interface is so simple but maybe it will get better with time. Thanks
Every half hour I get a popup message. It says “T-Mobile keeps stopping” and below that it has “App info” and “Close app” first one takes me to the app page where I can do a “force stop” (yes I tried that and it doesn’t stop the popup) second option just closes the popup. Then it comes back a few minutes later. This is driving me nuts.Things I’ve tried: restarted phone, deleted and reinstalled the appI have a OnePlus Nord N200 5Gandroid version 11Model DE21184GB RAM, 64GB ROMused 64 GB storage and have 37.24GB leftAnyone know whats going on?Just noticed I’ve used 64GB in storage and I have 64 GB of ROM, could this be it even though I have 37GB left in storage? Not tech savvy, which I’m sure is obvious!
Wondering if anyone else is newly having this issue. I found this thread that started two years ago but still had replies within the last four months and there doesn’t appear to be a solution. I spent nearly an hour on the phone with tech support earlier and though we tried a ton of resets on my phone, as well as her manually changing what tower my phone is connecting to, I still cannot receive text messages from most accounts, including T-Mobile verification codes. Tech support had to text the other phone on our account so I could verify it was me. Many things require two-factor authentication these days, so I can’t just go forward not receiving texts. Tech support said they would monitor my account for 48 hours, but wouldn’t be able to tell if I was being sent messages that ultimately weren’t getting delivered, so I’m not sure what the monitoring is going to do. I’m searching for any type of solution at this point. I feel like someone ought to be able to hit the master reset on my ph
We jumped on home internet service as soon as we heard about it. For a long time now, Comcast has been the only choice in Baltimore City and it feels like they squeeze city residents to subsidize lower prices for their customers in the counties where they have competition. Our current Comcast bill is just over $100 per month with their most basic service, a bundled Internet + TV. We don’t even use the TV service but they wouldn’t give us a plan with just internet service. This costs us about $110/month. I can plug my brother’s address (he has VZ Fios) in on the Comcast website and get offers for $39.99/month. I’ve been looking for a way to break free of Comcast for years now so I want to love this service but it’s just not measuring up.We had one of the mobile internet gateways delivered on 3/9. I started testing it immediately and was consistently getting speeds well over 300Mbps down on the first floor of my house. I even hit above 400Mbps a few times. So I went ahead and put that g
switching towers/bands --Hello I just got my 5g router in the mail 2 days ago the first day was a complete bust i had 3 bars but the connection was horrible/non existent so i tried did some research and used the app looking for the best signals and everything moving this thing all over for hours-still 3 bars and i would think thats enough I literally could not even get it to load speedtest before or a webpage hardly no connecting to anything basically when its on this band/tower not even the web user interface it also only has a primary connection and no secondary the primary is b71 and the secondary is not connected. then i just left it alone and randomly tried it and it only had 2 bars this time-weak according to the app but it actually loaded a webpage then i managed to get 50mbps on a speedtest and watch some youtube on 4k! i was feeling good i looked at the web interface and noticed i was not on the same band anymore and the primary b66 and secondary n71 bands and then bam it swit
I’ve been a loyal TMobile customer for years -- have 5 lines. Just tried adding a sixth line to my grandfathered Simple Choice Plan. One service representative indicated I could add a line for $10...next representative indicated I couldn’t add lines to that grandfathered plan anymore.Simple Choice Plan is perfect for me and my family, but don’t feel very important to T-Mobile and the few times I try to do something with my plan...just get hours of wasted time on the phone with customer service to be told they can’t do it.Any one else on grandfathered plan and feel like a second class citizen and considering other phone providers?
So apparently I cannot connect to sites that need to verify your location because my new tmobile internet service shows me as being located in a State that is different from my actual location.Been on hold for 50 mins to speak to someone, not sure if I will get anyone tonight and this is not looking good for customer service support that you don’t have a different number specifically for tech issues like this.
Hi. I joined T-Mobile last week with my family on a Magenta® MAX 55+ program. Among the various conditions that we were offered, we were told that if we move with three lines, the third line will be free, and that our monthly bill will be $90. After two days I received my first bill for $135, charging me for the third line. I was sure that it was a mistake, and called to ask T-Mobile to fix it. But I was told that they are “sorry” and that I am “ineligible for the promotion”. I asked to speak with a supervisor that apologized for the “miscommunication” but said that she could not help.Do other people have an experience of being mislead when joining T-Mobile? If so, did you get it resolve? What’s a good way to deal with this.Thanks.
Hi When I add mesh routers to the T-mobile cylinder device, the internet speed drops by about half. I tried it with Google Wifi and Eero 6, and I have the same problems with both. If I connect directly to the cylinder device, I have faster internet speech and this is noticeable. I would still prefer to use my mesh routers because of the coverage area. Can anyone gives me advice?
I have seen several posts about VPNs not working with T-Mobile Home Internet. What is T-Mobile's plan to address this? I contacted my corporate IT department and they said it's not their VPN. All works fine on my old ATT home internet and Verizon Hotspot (work cell). Maybe I should drop T-Mobile Home Internet and go back to ATT.
I was told the 5G inseego MiFi 2000 would work with anything and would allow me to play Xbox One on it. I ended up connecting with my phone and laptop but unable to do so with my Xbox. I ended up messaging inseego because I thought it was an inseego issue. They replied to me saying this: “Hello,The issue you are seeing is a result of some backend network handling changes made on the T-Mobiles side for their 5G network. Forcing the M2000 to 4G only is a possible fix for the issue while it is being worked out. This can be done with the following steps.First, on a device connected to the M2000 open a browser and navigate to 192.168.1.1Once you land on this page sign-in in the top right corner. (By default the admin password will be the same as the default WiFi password if it has not been updated)Go to Settings > Advanced, the page you land on after clicking Advanced should be the Network tab, locate Network Mode Selection, change this from Auto to LTE/UMTS, save the changes at the bot
