Why is my mobile hotspot limit so low only 5gb when I have a 50gb data cap? Databis data isn’t it? It shouldn’t matter whether I use it on my phone or use hotspot to provide “wifi” to my computer. Why does Tmobile limit hotspot data so much on an “unlimited” data plan. Doesn’t seem very unlimited to me! Seems very limited considering an hour of video is a GB! I guess they can charge for more data because they have a * in the contract that basically makes unlimited not unlimited!
I called T-Mobile only to request a price for internet, data and phone. The man to whom I spoke to said he would send me a SIM card. He said in order to do this, he would need my charge. I told him several times I was not interested in signing up. Looked at my charge and there was a $35 charge. I disputed this charge and it was removed from my bill. A few days later I received a bill from T-Mobile for about $107! I never inserted the SIM card and never used their services. Also, a so called supervisor assured me previously that the $35 would be removed and she would send me a confirmation. Red flag as I never received an email. How do I get this company out of my life? I will not pay the $107 and feel I’ve been had by these shiksters. Tomorrow I will file a formal complaint with the FCC. The better business bureau states over 16,000 complaints have been filed against T-Mobile. Opinions?
The past few days my T-Mobile Home Internet on my Nokia 5G21 has taken a dramatic drop in speed. Generally, the Download Speeds are 200-300 Mbps and the Upload Speeds 20-45 Mbps.Today, I noticed I was getting slow speeds, so I did a reboot. A bit later I did a Factory Reset. A few minutes my Download was 26.72 and Upload was 0.05. I called Customer Support yesterday. I explained to the Customer Service Representative that I did a Factory Reset and the Upload Speed was still very slow. He was all set to send me a replacement device, but then I mentioned that my neighbor across the road has the very same issue. Then he checks something else and tells me that two other neighbor towers were having issue and the traffic was being routed to the tower closest to me, thus the speed drop. How long does it typically take for problems like this to be resolved?
A client of mine uses Twilio to send security codes out to their members, and they’re reporting an increasing number of T-Mobile users who aren’t receiving the texts or phone calls. This has been an issue in the past allegedly (I just got moved to this client’s team recently), but it’s picked up in frequency this past week. I’ve seen other threads that suggest the messages may be getting blocked, and we’ve confirmed that we’re in compliance on Twilio’s side. Can anyone provide me with some assistance or direction on what we can do here?I am happy to provide more information, just let me know if you need additional details.Thank you!Ian
The beginning of November we placed an order for the new Apple phone and airpods. After realizing we would not be home to sign for the order we contacted T Mobile the next morning…and THEY in turn “cancelled” the order saying it was too late to change the address… we had to wait until they receieved the order back to get the over 600.00 credit so we could place the order once again. It took over 2 weeks and we only got credit for the phone, not the airpods...we NEVER say the package, UPS and TMobile stopped it from being sent to us...after messing waiting almost 3 weeks we went ahead and ordered again. This order was fine, other than since all of this happened it made our trade in value go down...which is not our fault…BUT…. I have contacted them several times, the last time over the phone I was hung up on… I visited the store to see if that would help… but of course they gave my number to their general manager to call me and of course I have not heard anything, that was last week…This
just set up new Tmobile home internet in a rural area-all carriers are iffy here but the Tmobile speed and connection are ok at home (not so much in some communities near me). That is the issue-I have my cell service on Verizon (best coverage all communities) and it will not connect a wifi calling attempt. All other cell services work flawlessly and if I use a different sip the wifi calling works on the phone. I have tried a different router (actually 3 of them as well as mesh system all with the same results-internet traffic is good and no wifi calling) I would like to resolve this and continue with Tmobile but without wifi calling its not helpful-any suggestions?
When is my next statement coming out? I’m sure I’ll probably need every extra day to be on the phone with support to try to correct the overcharging, questionable charges and even the credit for my trade in.All of this should have been corrected in the first 5 calls and countless hours spent with T-Mobile staff. As a new customer I’m seriously having my doubts now.
I use mosh (https://mosh.org/) to connect to some servers and have for years, which has normally worked fine, but for the last couple of weeks it has not worked over the tmobile network at all, the UDP packets never reach their destination.I can SSH into the servers fine and run commands over SSH, but when trying to switch to mosh, which uses UDP, all UDP packets to the host are dropped and never received, while if I switch to a wireless network then they are received at the destination fine, and have tested over multiple different ISPs to different destination servers.Support are useless, as expected when it comes to asking indepth questions about networking protocols.
Why doesn't T-Mobile provision Sony Xperia phones with Wi-Fi Calling abilities to use the feature? Is it a hate thing??? From what I hear, the phones work on WiFi calling when on Mint Mobile, Metro PCS etc (which use T-Mobile networks) but when a T-Mobile SIM is used, we get no Wi-Fi calling option. When I go into engineering mode, it clearly shows Wi-Fi Calling isn't provisioned.
Does anyone know if T-Mobile will come out with an update where you can turn off the wifi and just use Ethernet? So someone could add your own router without all these different channels so close together. This router/gateway is very limited that's provided for us tech users. Doesn’t even have a web interface so you can adjust settings to your liking.
I’m on the Magenta Max 55 plan and will be traveling to the Philippines later this month. I see a lot of confusing and contradictory information about costs and coverage while I’m there. In some places TMobile says the Philippines aren’t covered, in some places it says it is.Will there be fees for voice, text or data while in the Philippines? Are there limits on voice, text or data? Will buying an International Pass make any difference? And if you can point me to where I can find these questions answered clearly I’d really appreciate it.Thank you.-Brian
T-Mobile Home Internet is HORRIBLE to setup. It requires you to use their phone application to set things up and you CANNOT us the web browser to change the setting as noted in the 5G Gateway Manual. The T-Mobile Home Internet team “removed” this option from the website. You will see this screen when you go to the default IP address for login. Which means you cannot do anything online and all have to be done with mobile app. NOT FLEXIBLE AT ALL!
Exactly what it says on the tin, I’ve tried paying on my phone in web browser, and 3 step process kept failing and booting me back to the tmobile homepage. Gave up and switched to the app, it kept crashing. Tried on PC and am repeatedly told that I need to fix the error “Please correct the errors below.Invalid request” I’m tired, and would really like to have phone service in the morning, is there anything I can do?
When I try to log in to my account the website takes me to a page that reads: Firefox is no longer supported in private modeThe Firefox browser is no longer supported in private mode on our site. To continue, please take Firefox out of private mode or choose another browser. We recommend Chrome, Safari or Edge. What the heck is going on at t-mobile and why won’t you allow me to use my regular browser anymore?
I have been calling 611 from March 2021 to December 2021 about 20 times per month trying to just simply get assistance regarding billing and technical support; and literally every single one of my calls go to T-Mobiles representatives located in the Philippines, overseas. I have requested to speak to a supervisor, manager, or even T-Mobile complaints department for 10 months. I have taken multiple surveys and explained this same issue. T-Mobile Reps in Philippines then transfer me to T-Mobile Reps in London or UK. Prior to T-Mobile merger with Sprint. Customer Service with T-Mobile any time of the day was awesome, fast, efficient and you were not kept on the phone at all. A T-Mobile team was normally assigned and you even had a follow up call from those team members making sure your services were working properly and questions were completely answered. I do not know what happened since Merger??? My services have been extremely poor-horrible, customer service with T-Mobile has been a co
I just bought a new Unlocked Pixel 6a phone and my native Visual Voicemail is not working. My Unlocked Pixel 3a native Visual Voicemail worked fine for 3 years and it still works fine as I’ve given this phone to my brother who has the same T-Mobile plan.I’ve talked to T-Mobile support and so far they haven’t been able to figure out why it’s not working. It appears (see pics) that it’s trying to activate, but never does.Using the T-Mobile Visual Voicemail App is NOT an option… it is not the same and it doesn’t transcribe the voicemail to text. If this issue can’t be resolved I’ll be forced to change carriers.
I recently got and installed a T-Mobile Sagemcom FAST 5688W 5G Gateway. When I connected my Windows 10 desktop wireless, there was a big number of web pages that I couldn't access. Farthemore, my Kaspersky antivirus software couldn't connect to the respective server to receive updates. When I connected my pc through ethernet cable, everything worked fine. I tried to access the router interface through the 192.168.12.1 address, but I was taken to this address http://192.168.12.1/home, where there were very limited options regarding the settings of the network. Any suggestions regarding how to short out my predicament? Thanks in advance!
I have had T-mobile 5G home internet service for about 2 weeks now. The home internet service keeps disconnecting and my T-mobile cell service has been dropped a lot too. I live in Las Vegas. We are supposed to have strong 5G network here. Is there any way to keep my 5G home internet and cell service stable and reliable? If it keeps like this, I have to cancel any T-mobile 5G home internet service. Thank you!
I just set up my TMHI “router” (yes, in airquotes), and am very happy with the speed, but I’m not happy that a couple of my devices won’t connect to it at all. Neither my 2021 wired Ring Doorbell, nor my Sense Labs home entergy monitor will connect to the router. I switched the mode from Automatic to 2.4GHz, but no luck.I’m guessing it is related to the router only handling IPV6. As soon as I switched the devices back to use my old router (an actual real router...Linksys EA7500), both devices reconnected with no issues.I’m thinking of connecting my EA7500 to the TMHI router, and just continue to use it as I did when it was connected to my Spectrum cable modem.Any thoughts on how this will work for me, and what the disadvantages may be to doing so? Does anyone have an alternate solution to accomplish getting these devices to connect to the TMHI “router”? Thanks,Bill
Trying to research our own issue but keep getting 403 errors from this community site, might suggest T-Mobile is being DDOS or otherwise attacked, might be some indication why they say their towers are being upgraded or offline for days on end. Come-on T-Mobile let's get with the program you already have one breach reported.
I've had 5G home internet service for about two months, after two weeks it started acting up. For about five times a day all my devices connected to the Arcadyan KVD21 gateway lose internet yet stay connected to wifi, I've tried everything! Do I need to replace my gateway? Very frustrating.
