We tried to watch Hulu tonight, which is supposed to be free for a year. We were greeted by a MyDisney splash screen telling us to sign in. It stated that if we didn't already have a MyDisney account, we would be prompted to create one. It would  ot accept my email as valid, then invited us to sign up at full price.

So it looks like Disney bought Hulu. Does this mean that our free year of Hulu won't be honored?

I experienced the same issue today. I have been talking with Customer Care, but no resolution so far. Hoping it gets resolved soon. 


Our Hulu on Us deal does not cover the Hulu/Disney+ bundle. Have you already done the deal submission steps? Stream Hulu ON US: Deal Included With Phone Plans | T-Mobile

That should have you sign in to your T-Mobile account and then direct you to the Hulu page. I loaded the Hulu page now and it does show a few options. You want to go for the SIGN UP FOR HULU ONLY. Once you sign up for the HULU account, you’ll go to the LOGIN or three lines to SIGN IN instead of shopping for plans. 

I hope this helps with the sequence of events a little bit. :D

I already redeemed the free Hulu and had been watching it. I wasn't trying to watch Disney, that's what was on the splash screen when  I tried to watch hulu, and it prompted me to create a Disney Plus sign in.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to answer. Who gets to decide which answer is correct? I do hope that it is indeed resolved now.


@Eek5769 i wonder too.  Did you check if Hulu worked today?


If you are having trouble signing in, I went through this MyDisney thing a couple of weeks ago. I couldn’t sign in on either my TV or through a browser. I was able to sign in to the Hulu app on my iPad. I saved the credentials to my Apple Keychain. Then I tried again on the TV, using the code entry on my iPad in Safari browser & my new Keychain login.  If I didn’t have an iPad, I could have done the same on my iPhone. Android should work in the same way.


I'm very happy to report that hulu is working fine again. I didn't even have to sign in again. Yay!


I am still unable to use the T-Mobile benefit for Hulu since Disney took control.   My call to Customer Support was useless as they had no answers and basically said sorry you can’t use the benefit.  I have tried all of the ideas in this thread with no success.   Has anyone found a path to restore the benefit?
