Coolpad Surf hotspot DMZ and port forwarding

Hey all,

I'm trying to set up my hotspot for devices in my home. To do so, I need to do one of two things:

1. Open up a range of UDP ports (1-65535)

2. Add a couple of device IP addresses to the DMZ

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like the hotspots software will allow me to open up a range of ports. And every time I try to add an IP to the DMZ, it returns an error saying nothing but, "Failure".

Anyone have a workaround or solution? Thanks!

Hey @somuchham

I think what you are trying to do here is a little above the capabilities of the hotspot. The device is not the same as a home router unfortunately and is basic in the sense that it was solely designed to provide internet access to devices in its vicinity like other phones, tablets, desktop computers and laptops.

You're incorrect, as the hotspot provides these features in it's control panel, and Coolpad also references them in the user guide.
