I cannot change my T-Mobile/ZTE SyncUP Drive Wi-Fi hotspot name SSID or password. it will not let rest it. I tried upgrading app on phone no change

i change the hotspot name a few days after I got it, and gave it a password. I changed my phone and all the sudden i dont have access to it anymore to change password or change devices that canbe added to the Hotspot. Its like it only likes the original phone. what do I do with the device.  I tried the reset, but no chnage to the device, is there a way to wipe and start over?
