This is Pauline I am on a family plan with my parents and for some reason my old line was tied to ATT which caused a huge problem for me. I want to know why a billing statement was needed to tie the two accounts. Thank You.

It could be that the number was with AT&T before it was yours. If you’re having service issues, it’s common to have a Trouble Ticket filed with our Engineering team to correct any connections on the back end. I’m not 100% sure why your bill was needed. Maybe to see a record of how long it’s been tied to the account but this is something we can see in your account through our internal systems.
