Since yesterday, I have been having problems with the internet; it is working very poorly. It takes me 15 minutes to download a 10 MB file, and some websites take forever to load, even though speed test results indicate that everything is fine. The router has been in the same place since I bought it, and nothing has changed, but the internet is very bad.

@CheOne, slow speeds can be caused by various factors. I suggest starting with the device RSRP, RSRQ, and SINR, as well as metrics. Please provide which band is displayed (usually n41 or n71).

My 5G are:

RSRQ -11

RSRP -74

SINR 40

Band n41

The epositioning of your TM gateway is very important to signal strength and download/upload speeds. You can view your device metrics on your T-Mobile Internet app (or T-life app) and go to More > Advanced metrics.

Let us know what you find.

@CheOne thank you. With you numbers you should have much faster access speeds. My only suggestion would be to reboot your gateway if you haven’t already done so. Establishing a new fresh connection often helps.

if you are using a WiFi router as well it may benefit from a reboot.

Same problem here since Sunday. Ping between 30-70, Upload between 80-100 mb, then upload speed .15-1 mb or no upload speed at all. I’ve relocated the router to other places, rebooted it several times and left it unplugged over night. Still no change. Can’t even use it at all.

@Rikus86, if your metrics are inline, then I would call customer support. It may be a regional issue or TM is working on a tower in your area. If you call, let us know what they say.

Just dumped my Tmobile Home Internet and went back to cable.  So wanted to keep this service.  But inconsistent speeds with no solution pushed me out.  Don’t like spending more money to go to Spectrum.  But 500 mbps downloads and low teens pings are worth it.  Guess I’ll check this out again once my two years are up with Spectrum.  Cheers!!!
