home internet conteolling devices

All of a sudden I am unable to schedule or turn off any of the decides on my home network.  I cannot create a schedule it says “device update failed.  Please try again”.  It says the same thing if I try to turn one off.  I have reinstalled app, restarted gateway, no luck

does anyone have any ideas. The schedule helps ensure devices are off for the ones that need reminders in my house.  Very frustrating this is not working.

Generally it is a good troubleshooting technique to make sure the device is connected to the right network (your T Mobile Internet). Then if that for work reset the device. It’s a pain but is effective.

It is connected to network and happening to every single device.  It seems like it is more of a problem with the app and internet rather than resetting every device, no?


Just for clarification, do you have home devices like Google nest thermostats and Blink cameras? Do they work? Do you have tablets and phones, do they work? Same with smart TVs? Do some devices work? Trying to diagnose a problem it is good to breakdown the issue to smaller chance. 

When you look at your T-Mobile internet app, what does your “Connection quality” read?

Tap on the “Network” link at the bottom. Do you see your network? 

Tap on the “Devices” link at the bottom, do you see your devices connected?

all devices are connected, but I cannot schedule any of them.  Only problem I am having with anything.  I can schedule nothing: phones, thermostats, fire tvs, roomba.  All connected, but everytime I hit schedule and try to input it times, it says device failed to upload no matter what device it is.

ooooh, ok. Now I understand your problem diagnosis - can’t schedule any device. You will need to add a wifi router (T-Mobile Gateway > wifi router) then connect to the wifi router like a Netgear MR60. There are options in an external wifi router that will allow you to do things like schedule devices/services. the T-mobile gateways is either on or off (as I understand it).

But I have been able to do it just fine threw the app with what I have until now.  Why would that be an option on the app and work prior and not work now?


I am unsure as I am not familiar with the technical aspects of your network. Sorry. 
 

Have you called customer support and explained your issue?
