Peer to Peer Communication

I have a Nokia Gateway and I am unable to use my HomePods as a sound system for my AppleTv because of the lack of peer to peer communication. I have even reset them twice. They would work for a while and then misbehave.

Is anybody able to use this feature? Is it a gateway issue (works on other brands) or a network issue?

Also, if I enable “Add Wi-Fi Calling for Other Devices”, Wi-Fi calling turns off in seconds. I have not connected this to the T-Mobile network until I reinstalled the cable modem and everything works like a charm, including the HomePods.

This method no longer works if the firmware of the KVD21 has been upgraded to “.18.”

Just one more thing: in this case, peer to peer should work as well.

If you have the Ardacyan KVD21, you can use the following link to disable the wifi, then plug in your router and use it.

I connect directly to the gateway.

I do have a latest generation Motorola modem+router combo that I used with the cable company.

Can Wi-Fi be disabled on the gateway, in this case?

Do you have a wifi mesh or wifi access point plugged into your gateway, or are you depending on the gateway for your internet access? Many people, myself included, have had success using a home network access point that plugs into the gateway. I have a Netgear MR60 mesh system, and point my devices to the Netgear device for Internet access. My wifi calling on my iPhone works with this configuration.
