Excessive wait time

I ordered a gateway for home internet as I live in a rural, mountainous area.  Unfortunately it didn’t work for us.  I have been trying to cancel for the past 2 hours as you can only speak with someone to cancel.  Anyone know of a way to cancel without sitting on a phone for hours? This is ridiculous!
