This is my house. All the area around are woods.I live a little over a mile from the tower I connect to. I live in the woods, so between me and tower, there is about a little less than half a mile of woods. Right now, since the leaves are gone, I’m connecting to n41 and my speeds are around 300 Mbps. I’m worried that when the leaves come back, I’ll connect to n71 which gives me speeds around 30-120 Mbps.I’ve had service since last November when there were still leaves, but didn’t pay attention to my speeds all that much. Does anyone have any experience with leaves and living in the woods? Just curious what I can expect come spring and summer.
It appears that I am being identified as from outside the USA. All my computer settings are USA. I have used multiple computers with same result if on T Mobile internet. I can’t find a way to toggle from Phone app or from 192.168.12.1
Multiple times on most days, at no particular time of day, internet access stops working. Devices can still connect to the WiFi network, but there is no internet access on WiFi or wired until the device gets turned off and back on. In rare cases it might work itself out within a matter of hours, for example if I am not home to reboot it. It has been like this the entire time I’ve had it, and it causes parts of my security system not to work, as well as stops my crypto mining that my PC does when I’m not using it, therefore actively costing me money when I’m not home to babysit the gateway (eg, at work).I really, really want to stick with T-Mo but I’ll have to sign up with the local cable monopoly if uptime is this bad.
Just set up my gateway… working fine for the most part, but it doesn’t appear in the list of available networks on my Windows 10 laptop. Phone, tablet, another laptop elsewhere in the house… the network shows up just fine on all those devices.Any idea what would cause this? TIA!
just set up new Tmobile home internet in a rural area-all carriers are iffy here but the Tmobile speed and connection are ok at home (not so much in some communities near me). That is the issue-I have my cell service on Verizon (best coverage all communities) and it will not connect a wifi calling attempt. All other cell services work flawlessly and if I use a different sip the wifi calling works on the phone. I have tried a different router (actually 3 of them as well as mesh system all with the same results-internet traffic is good and no wifi calling) I would like to resolve this and continue with Tmobile but without wifi calling its not helpful-any suggestions?
We do not play video games, so we were not concerned with the NAT issues that gamers have, so we thought based on the speeds we were getting with our 5g phones & with 5G tower in the parking lot behind our house we would give TMHI a shot. Our Spectrum rates had shot up again to $70 /mo 500 ultra after 1 year promo, so $50/mo guaranteed for life seemed like a great deal until.…1) While My Brother has the Nokia we were sent an Arkadyan. Everything went well until less than a week on Service (Christmas Eve) our unit was updated to firmware 1.00.18. With this update we lost all 5g, dropped to b12 from b66 & WiFi devices kept going offline 2)With the Christmas Holiday & Bad weather back east it took a week to get another replacement. We requested the Nokia but was told they only replace like for like & Will only get another Arkadyan. BTW, It took me over 2 hours on hold to get through to HI tech support (which is normal occurence)3)Less than a week later , this replacement
It’s been 10 days since I started using T-Mobile Home Internet. I’m located right in downtown Seattle - My connection is considered “Excellent” and I have a direct view of the cell towers from my windows. The towers are less than 1 mile away. And that’s why I really need to rant about the speeds I’m getting during the day - Just now, I’m slowed to a crawl at 3 mbps for an hour. Then just now, I tested again and it’s at 1~ mbps. This seems to happen every other day with varying degrees of severity. I don’t have any issues during non-peak hours, but even then I’m only getting 30 mbps MAX.What more can you expect your customers to do here? These speeds are unacceptable during the daytime, which is basically at 3G speeds and it occurs way too often for comfort. Please do something about these speeds or no one is going to stick around, at least I won’t be.
Digits as VOIP Alternative to MagicJack not working! : Digits Call Transfer & Device Switch options don't work
I have posted here before regarding my Magic Jack worked for 1st 25 days on TMHI and then all of sudden all incoming calls , the caller can not hear us, while we can hear them. Many people here suggested using Digits as a virtual home phone for the family. I am however running into issues with digits !Any body here using digits app installed on multiple devices and can not use either the call transfer or switch device options either? Have you ever been able to get them to work ? If you had issues and got them to work, what did you perform to fix ?I have digits installed on 3 devices. I have a virtual line set up & active on all 3 devices. All 3 devices ring with an incoming call. If device A answers the call and the call is for Device B . They would try to either initiate a "transfer call" : which allows you to chose a phone number to transfer call or "switch device" which shows list of devices that have the digits with the line setup. In either case the call is put on hold &
Anybody else out there suspecting that T-mobile home internet customers get cut off from the internet after using “too much data”. I had (still have) excellent 5 g signal, and have been using consistently about 850Gb a month and then suddenly internet disappears. 5G signal, 4 bars, no internet.Customer service highest levels tech support reading to me garble coverage issues blah blah blah and saying can’t help.I am assuming T-mobile is trying to passive aggressive for me to discontinue instead of cancelling non-profitable customers.
The assigned cell tower is close about 1 mile, but not a good line of sight (trees, buildings etc.) Debating should I try extenders or mesh to use speeds I have which vary from 24 to 11 download and 5 to 9 upload or look into an antenna. I am worried about trying to open modem and install leads. If I stand on a ladder outside and hold modem up I can get 4 or 5 bars. Only 3 anywhere in house/ I did use the app to locate and have tried a few other things that customer support suggests. I need this to work. I use Zoom for work and medical, can’t wait to kick Comcast to the curb, Raised my bill double $125, and will not negotiate.
I'm having issues with some Microsoft Office services, e.g., SharePoint and Teams files. Started around 2022-06-15.This is on my T-Mobile 5G Home Internet- Issue: Most of the times I try to open a SharePoint link (Excel, PowerPoint) in a browser (on my laptop, on my home network), it can't find the page. Sometimes after 3 refreshes (F5 button), I get the file, and sometimes not.- Issue: Sometimes when I try to open a MS Office file in a native app (Excel, PowerPoint), it tells me the login isn't working.- Issue: Often when I try to open the Files tab inside a team channel in the MS Teams app, it tells me it can’t connect.- Works well: On another network (same laptop, same apps, same account, but via the phone's hotspot or via a public WiFi).- Works well: On another device (same T-Mobile 5G home internet, but on my phone).- Works well: On another account (same laptop, same T-Mobile 5G home internet, but my personal Microsoft Office account).... This is surprisingly specific to my work l
I use the 5G Internet but DO NOT have a T-Mobile phone. When I attempt to use the Tuesday App (on my non T-Mobile phone) the App occasionally requires me to log-in again. In order to do that, a 4-digit access-code is sent to my modem… which I must then enter into the App. My modem is mounted on a very high shelf in order to obtain a good signal --- so I must then use a step-ladder to view the access-code. QUESTION --- is it possible to obtain this access-code via a TEXT or an EMAIL instead? If so, I could avoid using a potentially dangerous stepladder. The currently scheme is not user-friendly.
I have had the home internet for a week, all I can say is horrible. Customer service is also not very helpful…(mainly because they don’t comprehend the issue?)Problem, The internet stopped working after 20 minutes or so...As a remedy, I had to reboot the system so many times to fix. Right after rebooting, it worked great. However, 20 minutes later, the internet no longer works and I guess it is time for another reboot. When I did ping command in cmd, right after I reboot the system, it returns a solid IP address. After 20 minutes or so, reply from 192.0.0.1 destination host unreachable. Time for another reboot. It seems like the traffic is getting to the router, but the router is simply not connecting to the wider network. However, I have no idea why straight after rebooting it works, but craps out after 20 minutes or so? It is akin to the router simply froze and needs to be rebooted?I have the Nokia router, supposedly it is new.
I have a T-mobile home internet line and I’m trying to create a T-mobile Tuesdays account but when I go through the register procedure, it keeps sending me a PIN by text that I need to proceed and I don’t know where I can see these texts… anyone can help?
I only use T-Mobile home internet and I keep reading how I’m eligible for T-Mobile Tuesdays. I input the devices phone number four never receive a text on the gateway. I receive texts regarding my bill and service updates but never this 4 digit code. I’m not the first to discuss this so why hasn’t T-Mobile addressed. Only solutions I’ve seen are put the sim in a phone or change gateways which are not actual solutions. What’s the deal T-Mobile?
I recently started test driving T-Mobile home internet at my house, and it's worked great for everything except games, where I'm having a weird issue with some of them. When I try to play Apex Legends on PC, the game will connect and play really smooth for anywhere from 1-3 minutes, and then all communication will be lost, which will take 20 seconds for the game to kick me out to the main menu. If I go back into the game from the main menu, it'll work fine untill the 1-3 minutes elapses. During all of this my PC never loses connection, and this issue occurs over wifi and ethernet. This issue probably does not lie with the game as this issue does not occur with other ISPs, and it did not coincide with an update. A similar issue is happening with Splatoon 3 on the Nintendo Switch, where the game will play superb for 30 seconds to 2 minutes before dropping the connection. Is this a known issue with the service or gateway, is there anyway I can debug my connection, and does anyone know an
I've had 5G home internet service for about two months, after two weeks it started acting up. For about five times a day all my devices connected to the Arcadyan KVD21 gateway lose internet yet stay connected to wifi, I've tried everything! Do I need to replace my gateway? Very frustrating.
