I am a long time T-Mobile cellular user and added Home Internet a couple of months ago. I am happy with the general Internet data performance but having issues with WiFi-Calling under the Home Internet service.I have been using the secure Signal app on my phone for SMS/MMS service for years w/o problems under WiFi-Calling setup (WiFi preferred mode). Signal uses the data network to send/receive SMS/MMS via their end-to-end encrypted network. Now under TMO-HI, I cannot keep the WiFi Preferred mode. In addition, I am having issues with sending or receiving Group MMS service. Looking for feedback from both Signal and Non-Signal users on your MMS experience under TMO-HI and WiFI-Calling. It’s difficult for me to debug non-Signal user mode without losing all my messages in Signal.Thank you for any feedback on WiFi Calling under TMO-HI.
My question is I switch from the 4G to the 5G router the 5G router has decent service on it but no internet connection I have three bars when I call them they tell me to take the Sim out of the old 4G and put it in the 5G I don't think that's going to work as a 4G sim and 5G Sim are two different sims anyone have this problem or know if that is the solution.
Here is an article that has a detailed description of cellular technologies, frequency bands, and the frequencies are used by popular providers. See the table "5G and 4G LTE Frequency Bands" for a list of the bands/frequencies used on the T-Mobile gateway.Cellular Frequency Bands
Hi, I just recently have the high speed home internet and my location have a 5G speed but I'm not getting the 5G or LTE, I have my router placed upstairs close to the window as it's recommended but still I get like 3 bars. And when I first plug in the router it didn't ask me to upgrade. Do I need to do something else? Please help. You could contact me at my email address: firstname.lastname@example.org Thank youCitchon
After about 24 hours, the LTE WiFi Gateway slows down to about 1 Mbps for both up and down speeds. In my configuration, I am doing a double NAT so I have better control over my network. This slowness has only started yesterday. I have had virtually no issues with the gateway since I got it about 5 months ago. To resolve the issue I have to reboot the gateway. I tried rebooting my router that I connect to via WiFi, but it has no impact. Only a reboot of the gateway resolves this. My neighbor has also been experiencing the same issue prior to noticing it myself for a while. Was there a firmware upgrade that was pushed out on the gateways? Is there a way to revert the version if that is the case?
So I got the Nokia 5G cylindrical home internet router and all was good. Then one day I accidentally unplugged the cord and a whole mess ensued after I set it back up. My boyfriend has an Android phone and cannot-cast to our Google Hubs anymore-open links in his email in google chrome We live in a garage apt and have home internet provided by the landlords, but it’s slow DSL. If I hook the old router back up and connect his phone to it, all works well. I have factory reset this Nokia router twice and cannot seem to get it to work like it did on day one. Any advise? My iPhone works perfectly fine with it. I did also reset his phones network settings and cleared his Spotify cache(which he was trying to cast to the Google Hubs we have). For now I’ve got my technology linked to the T-Mobile router and his linked to the old one with the DSL connection our landlords still provide us.
I bought a SureCall Fusion4home and hooked it up with 4bars! However, I try to register the signal booster but the website is blank. I clicked on the link ‘signalboosterregistration’ many times but nothing moving. I changed chrome, MS Explorer, MS Edge and even my cell phone to register it but it’s nothing there. I talked to customer support 3 times and on hold many times. No technical support finding any issues. What can I do if I can not register the signal booster I bought? Thanks for helping me out!
Just noticed some metrics are now getting reported with decimal values (had always been whole numbers). Checked firmware version, and sure enough it has updated. Found this in the log: So it literally updated last night. No idea of any other changes. Will have to go through this weekend and see if anything has improved with the UPnP/forwarding or anything like that.
A couple of days ago I received the email to upgrade my LTE gateway to the new 5G gateway. I followed the process and spoke to a Rep who processed the order for the gateway, however, I never received any confirmation of the order; no email or notification in my account. As it is, I don’t know if, when, or how the gateway is being delivered. Is this normal or should I have received confirmation?
I am a recent convert to T-Mobile Home Internet Service. I am using the router the T-Mobile High-Speed Internet Gateway [model 5G21-12W-A]. I am using it as directed (i.e. I have not configured it in any special way using the GUI). Everything is great so far. I am able to connect to my two computers, SmartTV, iPhone and iPad.I am having difficulty staying connected to the following devices:Google Items: 1) Google Nest Hub (1st Gen); 2) Google Nest Mini Speaker; and 3) a Google Chromecast (actually, now that I think of it, this one has remained connected). Amazon Items: 1) Amazon Echo Show 5; and 2) two Echo Dots (Third Generation). And I am having difficulty staying connected to the following two other items:WYZE camera (1st Gen) WIZ Smart plugs (two of them)I live in a 100 unit apartment complex and according to a T-Mobile tech, I am w/in spitting distance from the T-Mobile tower that is delivering my signal (any amazing speeds substantiate that).
I’m work from home, as are most/a lot of others. I just want this T-Mobile service to let me connect to both my corporate SSL VPNs as well as an IPsec site-to-site VPN that I have for device management. It doesn’t work on this giant Alexa looking router that has all of 2 configurable settings in its GUI, so I called to ask about getting the old LTE modem (white box).. Maybe being able to define a DMZ device will fix my issues.. Maybe I can turn off certain ALGs. Anyway, what are you guys doing? Any WFH setups known to work? IPsec is pretty straightforward.. so I had hoped.
Filled out the form to get the YouTube TV discount over a week ago. I suspicious they aren’t properly recognizing Home Internet users as qualified for the offer. But don’t know for sure as I’ve gotten no response and it says 3-4 business days. Wondering if any other Home Internet users were successful in getting a response after filling out the form? You enter the phone number associated with your account/router here: https://promotions.t-mobile.com/TV and some other info.
