My Playstation 4 can barely connect to my 5G Home Internet Gateway. It connects very slow, and keeps disconnecting which makes it impossible to actually do anything. I've heard that the automatic internet connecting gets confused by the Gateway and you need to manually put in all of the info (IP address, default gateway, primary and secondary DNS, etc), but where do you find that info?
Been an interesting year and more… service has improved a LOT here in the Florence, SC area, to the point that it has proven to be a viable alternative for a budget service. Has handled 2 Roku’s streaming just fine at up to 1080p, and some light/casual gaming on both PC and PS4. But, unfortunately, I have come back around to where I need that inboud IPv4 traffic to work again. Without a proper forward facing v4 address and full NAT functionality, I unfortunately had to discontinue the service after about 16 months. Yes, we were able to get around some issues with a VPN service… but the extra cost and complexity just isn’t worth it for trying to address more complex use cases. We really need the assurance of a line that just works with full NAT functions without any extra steps/costs. Will be checking in on the forums periodically to see if any progress is made on the inbound filtering/blocking front to see if anything comes of it. Hopefully they can figure something out in the next
I've had this issue where the signal just cuts out ever since I started using the white wifi router several months ago. I want to be able to see the Wifi Portal but the website access just doesn't work for it. Now my LTE has clearly been cut OFF. Usually I would just unplug all the connections e.g. power supply and Ethernet cables wait for a minute then plug and turn it back on. That would do the trick sometimes but not this time.
I have a different problem with Paramount. We have our free subscription and are watching a series. However, when it plays a commercial and the commercial is done, it hangs,... Just keeps spinning. The only way we have been able to get by it is to back all the way out and resume. However, this doesn’t work consistently. Also, the problem doesn’t occur with every commercial. It is random but has gotten so frequent it makes watching almost impossible.
I currently have been using 4G LTE as my backup connection for when my primary Internet Connection goes down as part of my continued ability to Work from Home, its been absolutely great and have had no problems, the upload speed it usually better than my other connection, which makes uploading files to the company server much easier. When It became available I got the T-Mobile home Internet as a trial. When connected its awesome and I get a 100M upload that makes everything work great. Unfortunately the problem is the t-Mobile gateway. The gateway needs to have the following capabilities to make it usefulAbility to disable the Gateway Wi-fi, it serves no purpose in my house because I already have a wifi system setup throughout my entire house and meshing with the Gateway is unacceptable Ability to change the LAN address: the default 192.168.0.0/24 is useless with the rest of my home network Ability to add static routes to be able to configure the gateway with add additional routes to
I live in North Tampa and have had the home Internet service for about 6 to 7 months. It has been and got awful just like the other services that I have had before. I keep losing signal intermittently throughout the day my solar panels have a log and each day I lose signal and Internet service about 6 to 7 times a day to include during work hours. I most recently was doing an interview and lost Internet during the dang interview. I have called the worthless and useless customer service on multiple occasions nobody can ever help me. they were supposed to have called me back two weeks ago never did I am so fed up with them. Is anybody else having problems in the north Tampa area? There are no other reliable Internet solutions so I feel like I have to settle for this crappy service. T-Mobile has oversold and under delivered on 5G in my opinion.
I recently received the Nokia 5 G Trash Can on Feb 24 and my services were great for a week and all of a sudden for the last week my service has been unusable during the day despite having good signal strength, not sure if it’s a firmware issue or is the company is lying to me. I noticed N41 had disappeared as of last Friday March 4th I’m currently connected to B2 and N71 however my service is unusable from 8am to 9pm. My current speeds are 3mb down and 30 mb up any suggestions as what to do? I’ve called customer support so much lately but every time I get a personal guarantee that my service will be restored the next day however I’m going on a week without good services and I’m very frustrated.
Average TMHI speeds plummeted a week ago, noticed CGI has changed but TAC is still the same. Suspect a tower adjustment occured.
I noticed a week ago that my TMHI speeds have become terrible and unstable. I went from an average of 20-90mbps down/20-30mbps up to anywhere from 1-20mbps down/up. Pings went from around 25ms up to an average of 45-50ms. I suspect a cell tower adjustment occurred a week ago because my modem has locked onto a different CGI, but the TAC still remains the same. Signal strength has actually improved slightly, it’s just the bandwidth I’m getting is awful even in non-peak times. Still connecting to Band 66, so I suspect the tower isn’t allocating enough data bandwidth to the cell unit that I’m specifically connected to. I’m in a very rural area that is mostly filled with Verizon/AT&T users so I’m pretty sure that it’s not cellular congestion on the tower itself and it would be strange for me to suddenly go from having great speeds and stability to awful suddenly after having a good connection for almost 2 years now. Any ideas on how to proceed in getting this rectified?
My account was somehow deactivated after a conversation about the first month being free. A great agent “Lorenzo” restarted my wireless wifi service. When I tried to make my payment the CC that was originally connected to Autopay had been deleted or removed. I made a single payment then reinstalled AutoPay. Checking my up coming billing it showed an extra $5 payment added each month as if the Autopay was NOT working. It says it is. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
My gateway needs rebooting from time to time and I noticed it is receiving text messages. There were over 250 messages where someone had added the line number to the San Francisco Transit Authority several times and now the gateway is receiving multiple train schedule updates. How can we raisie this issue so our home internet lines can stop receiving test messages on the gateway? Thank you!
I’ve had my home internet for 1 year now. After figuring out how to keep my modem from overheating and finding the best location and orientation in my house, I was routinely getting speed tests of over 400 Mbps. I also rarely had to reboot any more to fix a problem.A few weeks ago AT&T came into town and started burying fiber in our neighborhood. The following week we had a lot of rain, not bad storms, come through for day. During the rain I happen to notice I was no longer getting those 400+ Mbps speed tests. It was more in the low 100s. I chalked it up to weather interference. The following week things had dried up but I was still getting slower speeds. it’s still working reliably. It’s just not as fast as it used to be. And it used to be that way for about 9 months. I finally called support this morning. The first rep told me that I was connected to a tower that was northeast of my address but the tower that was southwest of my address was closer. I was aware of this
It is so dumb that the gateway cannot assign a static IP for devices at your home, such as network printer, NAS and others. People suggest to add another router behind the T-mobile gateway. Adding router would create a double NAT issue. It would be great if we can dumb the gateway down into a bridge mode. I do not need the gateway broadcasting the wifi signal next to my router if that’s the way to go.Open these basic functions for advanced users. WE KNOW WHAT WE ARE DOING! That’s why I rather use my equipment with cable internet. As soon as the 90 days cool down period with the cable company is up, I am going to jump back to cable internet for sure if the T-mobile gateway is going to be this useless.
