Hello, I am concerned that people around my house can see my wifi network and connect to it. It seems my network is "open " and anyone close to my house can connect. How can I go about locking my wifi Account to block any intrusion? Or would they have to know my password in order to connect? This is my first time having wifi and I am nervous and uneducated when it comes to the severity of my privacy. Thank you for your time and help.
When you say you have an open WiFi network that implies there is no password required to connect. However if a password is required then in order for anyone to connect they need to know or guess your password. Generally everyone can see all networks around them but can not connect to them.
