Problems trying to Sign up for T-Mobile ID

I have had my account with T-Mobile for more than 3 years now. But since t-mobile and sprint merged, I have not been able to access my account. and I have not been able to sign up for my t-mobile ID. After I try to link my cellphone # and received the code, this message shows up:

The MSISDN is already registered to another IAM user account.

So what is going on???  I want to switch my cellphone service to another provider but I don't really know if this will be a problem. I am tired of this!! What should I do?
