Can't setup new Galaxy S23 for eSim


I have a new Galaxy S23 FE from T-Mobile that I’m trying to set up. I’m following the eSim directions but after I connect to Wifi I get a message to “Connect to a mobile network,” with options to “Transfer SIM from another device, Scan QR code, or Search for a mobile plan.” My old SIM card is a different size, I don’t see a QR code anywhere in my paperwork, and I’ve already got a mobile plan. It will not let me access the settings menu or dial #06# to get the eSim number. Thoughts or advice?
