How can i get my computer to identify the wired connection? There is no internet through the wired connection.
Usually, when there is a wired connection there is no need for extra steps. You could try plugging in the ethernet cord from the computer to the modem and then restarting both devices.
What device are you wiring your computer to? Has your computer worked with other wired connections before this?
