Badge

Has anyone had an issue with a Tivo box not connecting?  It sees the network with good signal, but won’t connect.  No trouble connecting other devices.

Several people on the Tivo forum had no problem. They suggested checking if  2.4 or 5 GHz settings made a difference. I just used the Ethernet cable which worked fine for me. 

Go into the T-Mobile home internet app under network choose your network advanced settings and change from wpa2/wpa3 to wpa/wpa2. After doing this my Tivo contacts with no issue. 

I had this problem when switching my Tivo from Verizon to T-Mobile. Switched to wpa/wpa2 on 5Ghz and still wouldn't connect. Switched to 2.4Ghz and it connected fine. So as a test I switched back to 5Ghz and it connected fine and has ever since. No clue why it wouldn't connect at 5Ghz until after I connected at 2.4Ghz.
