My Arcadyan KVD21 gateway is connected by Ethernet cable to my TP-Link Archer AX21 router.  The gateway’s Wi-Fi has been disabled. All my devices connect without issues to my router’s Wi-Fi.  Setting up the router was done very easily with the T-P Link Tether app.

I see in the the Tether app that the router is set up as “Wireless Router” and not in ”Access Point Mode”.  Should I change the operation mode to “Acess Point Mode”?  What would the benefits be?

Thanks in advance for your help.

@henry51 you are fine as you are. If your gateway was broadcasting a SSID, then you would ant to run your Archer to run in bridge mode. In this case, all devices look to the Archer for internet access, so you will want it to run as a wireless router.
