I do not have T-Mobile’s Home internet and there isn’t anything in my resources that would suggest a “best”, so I wanted to loop this question back to everyone on the Community. Maybe some personal experiences can help this person make a confident and informed purchase.

T-Mobile Home Internet is not a phone service. It's a standalone internet service that uses a gateway to provide WiFi and one ethernet port for internet access. If they want a phone with data. A plan that suits their usage needs amd a device purchased from T-Mobile would work best together.
