Network & Coverage
Let's talk about our coverage, signal, and roaming experience.
Just went through Hurricane Ian. Power back after 5 days, however, Xfinity is still down. Since cell spot is dependent on cable modem, no service. Don't set yourself up for thinking you will have phone service after a horrific experience. No mobile towers set up in the area even though Ian sat on top of us for 7 hours. Used Publix grocery store to post this. Now headed back home to no service. No updates from insurance or FEMA. When you are alone and elderly it is awful to have no communication with family and friends, no way to get to internet. Other Tmobile customers have some service, if you have cell spot, nothing. It would have been the right thing to do when transferred from Sprint to tell customers the local towers will be under modification until Spring of next year rather than slapping a bandaid on the problem. This is beyond unforgivable.
T-Mobile, yesterday was Valentine’s Day, and on the day of love, instead of loving us and making 2G extra better for us, what you do is set a date to shut it down?! I don’t understand why you are doing this? There are a number of people in this country that like to use their 15-20 year old bar/flip phones, 2G is still reliable also for M2M connectivity and for cell phone service, 2G in some cases is also much better than LTE where-as LTE only gets 1 bar but 2G gets 4 full sometimes! I also just got off the phone with a customer service person with T-Mobile USA that ALSO agreed with me that 2G is extremely important and it’s sad it’s going away! Yeah, I understand that 5G is the newest and most shiniest network technology yet but I don’t see why we can’t have the right to use older phones? I myself use an iPhone 14 Pro because I like the 120MHz display and all the shiny features that it brings but I really enjoy using a Nokia 3390 on the GSMT network with an MVNO called FreedomPop/RedPo
Wondering if anyone has tried this Netgear antenna to connect to the Inseego FX3100? Just looking for extra signal for N41. Right now I have RSRQ (0), RSRP (-99), SINR (11) on Band n41. Tmobile connection quality is listed at 4 bars (Very Good). Last Speed Test Download (150 Mbps), Upload (35.7 Mbps)
I need an external antenna 60’ high for my current ATT hotspot and want to use it for my new TMO-G4AR which I hope can replace the ATT box. The T-Mobile instruction manual does not give any detail about the 4 external antenna connectors on the TMO-G4AR other than how to connect it to their own 4 connector antenna. Which 1 or 2 connectors should I use? I was using 2 on my ATT box. Is there any explanation of what the 4 external connections do? Thanks,
hello all. So my vexing fiasco occurred on june 20th, 2023. I went to work by subway. when I got to my stop, I noticed my phone network status bar had said SOS. I tried restarting the phone. After restarting the phone, the status bar still displayed SOS. I then just thought T-Mobile was having an outage. it was a headache because I had plans that day to meet up with friends later in the afternoon. later on I checked my other line and called other family and friends who are T-Mobile customers, and confirmed that it wasn’t T-Mobile’s Network. it was indeed the device having an issue. I did call T-mobile customer care to troubleshoot the issue. this involved network resets, e-sim reinstalls, physical sim installs, going in and out of airplane mode, turning off and on cellular data, and ultimately a factory reset. T-Mobile escalated the issue with management, but never heard back. I was with 1 week without my main line not connected due to the device not connecting to the ne
I recently switched from Verizon to T-Mobile. I have an iPhone 15 and a Series 6 watch with cell service. Nobody has been able to figure out why I can receive/send text messages on my Apple Watch while out of range of my iPhone but cannot make or receive phone calls. Any tips on how to resolve this issue. To date, T-Mobile has not been able to figure it out. Worked perfectly while on Verizon plan.
I’ve had the home internet router for over a year now and it has performed to my liking but for the past 3 days it has been giving me hell i play on the new Xbox series x and my NAT type keeps changing from open to moderate affecting my ability to play anything at all and then at random I’ll have a spike of packet loss making it even worse I’ve tried troubleshooting my gateway and Xbox but the issues persist to it is ruining my pass time and hobby I’ve become very aggravated and thinking about terminating my line since the issues are currently unsolvable
T-Mobile is falsely claiming that they participate in the ACP program, when in fact they make qualifying customers cancel their T-Mobile internet and open a Metro account in order to get their ACP credit, therefore the credit is accepted by a third party and not T-Mobile.
Hello all- I have four iPhones. When my wife’s phone loses connectivity to the network it sometimes takes days to reconnect. It will connect to WIFI and work just fine. If the phone leaves WIFI we either get zero bars or an SOS. I have worked with support for weeks now trying to get this resolved. We have tried resetting everything. We have tried new physical and eSIMS. Nobody seems to know what is going on and all they want to do is for us to purchase a new phone. Ideas?
I have been having the same issues as I have seen in different threads about ATT numbers not being able to be come into my phone. The T-Mobile tech folks are saying that it is on their siide and that the call is not even entering the T_mobile network. They call and the same message that this person is not taking calls of that there is not a vm set up. Has anyone gotten a resolution from this? I even changed from my Samsung to a iPhone (they said that would fix the problem) and it didn't
I tried to chat with customer service to request cancellation of my service at the end of the current cycle, on 16 December. They instead tried to sell me a new subscription which I declined. They went ahead an cancelled my service immediately, and now I can’t access certain services, including my multi-factor authentification. My mobile app has also been disconnected, and i have no means of asking them to correct this mistake.
Since the October update , areas that Im in all day that that typically had great UC5G, now drop to 0 bars, cant take or make calls, text, or use data. ive worked with tech support both in person and here by chat. Ive changed to a ESIM, reset my network connections numerous times, wiped cache partitions, Ive been starting to see more and more people using the S22 and possibly other galaxy phones posting that since late October their mobile connections have degraded tremendously.I’ll start briefly with some some 5g as i get handed off to a tower then within a minute it will drop to LTE, then a few bars of possibly 2g with no connection, to 0 bars. Ill post some screen shots of my phones rf levels. Tmobile even sent people out to these areas I had in question and said the signals fine, again leading me to conclude its in the software of the last update in October
I have a TMobile Cellspot they sent me when I first got the phones/service because service was so poor. TMobile said to turn off WiFi on the phone so cellspot would connect. Supposed to have 5G services but was told to set phone to LTE only. This cell spot worked for a while but now problems have recurred.Phone doesn’t ring and calls go straight to VM, texts fail to send frequently & only have SOS service at times. This is totally unacceptable. Spoke to tech yesterday and they said to turn off WiFi, which was on - the LTE did come back on phone when I did this BUT several of my phone apps dont work if WiFi is turned off, like my security cameras or music apps.Has any resolved a similar problem? I’m almost ready to change carriers.
I am in an area between the country and town. I needed to get home internet regardless because I go to school online. It works ok but my phone and service are still so slow. I SPECIFICALLY asked the agent would the internet service be strong enough to work from home. She said yes. NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!Come to find out the speeds are sssslllllooooowwwww. Now that I have to work from home, I go to do a test for my hopeful at home job, and the speeds dont even run above 10 on download, and 1.0 for upload. That’s right! It does not go above 1.0 on uploads. So I called. The first representative stated that I should just go with another internet carrier…..WHAT???? So I lost it and requested a supervisor. He was the ONLY, and I do mean the ONLY truthful person this whole time. He said the tower is 4 miles away and they should never have told me that I would be able to benefit off of getting internet because on his end, THEY DONT HAVE INTERNET SERVICE FOR ME IN MY AREA. So if he could see that then
When I received my T-Mobile gateway I was thrilled. It worked great. I only use it for online college courses. Now I've had to Ole for 4 or 5 months a every time I log on the network connects the Internet does not ever.
Another Friday nite with no Internet. What’s the problem with T-Mobile Home Internet always going down? I think it’s time tmobile just abandons its home internet because it is unreliable and slower than cable. I have to move just to live in an area where I can choose Spectrum.
