I managed to get a T Mobile ID and I am able to log in with my email address and password but THEN it ask for my T-Mobile phone number to send the confirmation code to. It gives me an error when I input the number from the gateway and it ask for a valid T-Mobile number when I input my non T-Mobile phone number (the number I provided when I opened the account). Seems to me it is a quick and easy fix but who am I? Just a meaningless customer.
Same issue. I can enter the T-mobile id which is my email (upper/lower case doesn’t matter)...then password successfully but when I am asked for a phone number to link to, neither my router’s virtual phone number or my non-T-Mobile cell number will be accepted. I’ve spoken with a few different T-Mobile support reps and each have acknowledged the problem, said they’re working on it, and was told wait 24 hours and keep trying. It’s been a few weeks since I got the service up and running. On the bright side, the internet speeds are generally pretty impressive and service has been reliable.
Has anyone figured out the being able to login but no phone number works problem yet? Internet got shut off again due to my inability to set up account to PAY THE BILL
I have the same problem. When I enter the TMobile phone number to verify at login, it says my number is not valid But it is the one they gave me for the home internet. Went to the local T mobile store that set me up and they spent 45 minutes on the phone with tec support. No luck. They said try again in a week. So I can not even set up auto pay because I cant get the account? Waiting for someone to find a solution.
Call T-Mobile Customer Care at 1-800-937-8997. They can set up autopay over the phone. You will need to provide your checking account information, or a debit card number.

They won’t take a credit card for some reason. I do not give out access to my bank accounts, and debit cards do not have the same protections as a credit card so that does not get used for these kind of things. I was on today with customer care and found this out. So until I can get into my account I am at a dead end. T Mobile needs to take credit cards in customer care. Still stuck until the fix the system so I can finish making my account and put in the credit card.
Months and this issue still exists. I have to cancel as I just moved to a place with internet and CS won’t take my cancellation as I must go through the app. I’d keep the service if I could shoot it to my ipad but they still need the number which doesn’t work…
@shuaaalon did you purchase online, in store, over the phone, or via chat?
Regardless, call T-Mobile Support, ensure you are speaking with someone who supports Home Internet, and have them update what’s known as your “service notification email address”. This will lead you to be able to create a T-Mobile ID using that specific email address without having to enter a phone number.

I am sure it is supposed to! But as you can see from this thread, a lot of us can’t. I have a T-Mobile ID; they sent an email to me verifying that. But if I try to sign in, I receive the request for my phone number!
Same issue, the system recognizes my email address but then it take me to the page to link my phone number with my account and it doesn’t recognize my phone number! Means I cannot access my account to do any management. They have a bug in their system that is not recognizing phone numbers. Not sure why tech support doesn’t have an option on their side to manually link the phone number to the account. That is a development issue and I believe that because I am a retired developer who proved support for several years. There is a lot of customers reporting the same issue so not sure why they aren’t fixing it.
I have called monthly for a year and still cannot access my home internet account.
All custo.er service does ids lie to me
They clain to make notes but never do
ThenI had to get replace a worn debit card and started turni g off my i ternet every month and charging me a reconnect fee plus a fee to call themto turn it back on
I was promised these fees would be waved and applied to future bills and the auto pay would be be back on but every month since october of 2023 they shut me off. I do t even know when the due date is so they also charge me late fees.
Im so fed up with paying 150a mo th for 40 dollar a month setvice and not having access to my manage account
Download the t Life app. That's essentially where all the internet stuff has moved to. Then, I guess just download the normal T-Mobile app???? THEEEEEEEN go to your Internet browser, type in "my t mobile" login with what you think your login is and it's probably right. That's what I just did and it somehow worked. I'm able to access everything. If I try to login through the actual T-Mobile website it freaks out and says nothing is correct. Once you correct your info you should be able to use the T-Mobile app like normal and be able to see and pay your bill. This is have been so frustrating and support just kept passing me off ♀️

I was able to create my ID with the t-Life app using the email address that I ordered my gateway with and use the line number assigned to the gateway. Now that I have created the account, I am able to log in normally and manage my account. This is a massive hassle and kudos to Jesk.Segar for posting the work-around.
It was an absolute struggle and it shouldn't have been. I know they are new to Internet, but they should know by now how to correct it. I have cellphone service through metro, which is a T-Mobile company now. We shouldn't have to go through so many apps!

phone number is NOT a real number it's the number assigned by T-Mobile when I got my internet.

I had the exact same issue with my cell through MetroPcs.
I got my issue resolved by going the T-Mobile Facebook messaging. The team members trouble shoot and finally put in a ticket. The issue was resolved in about 3 hours.
"Thanks so much for your patience Diane!.Ticket 85417772 was filed and will be addressed within 3 hours. To be transparent I'll be reaching the end of my shift in just a moment though I won't leave you without help. I've left detailed notes of what we've covered and if you had any further questions, when you reply back a peer of mine would be able to pick up where we left off and continue assisting.
Though with the ticket filed to correct the T-Mobile ID registration error, we can expect that to get resolved within the allotted timeframe or sometimes even a little quicker.:
For now, I'd just reattempt the registration using your @gmail.com every now and then for the next 3 hours. When the ticket is handled by our engineering team and closed, the registration should then go through and lead you to the main page of your T-Mobile ID.
Other than I took some time to look over It was a pleasure working with you today and we're eager for your T-Mobile ID registration to go through smoothly. Take care and have a wonderful rest of your weekend! ^Andy Bangerter
