Its in part due to geo-tagging of the IP address. With Spectrum (TWC), IPs are almost ‘static’ and typically geo-tagged to your residence, and are using standard IP addresses - non RFC 1918 (10.x.y.z, 192.168.x.y style). T-Mobile effectively uses a NAT IP. As a result, your ‘real’ ip is at a POP / aggregator. Run ‘ifconfig.me’ and then do a geo location lookup. It’ll most likely be at an urban location where T-Mobile aggregates it NAT IP address to public. So how does one get t mobile to fix this!? I constantly get notifications asking me if it’s “really me”! Have to verify my location and identity multiple times. I’m glad there’s that but I’m not in Minneapolis MN. When I search for example a restaurant and a location with driving directions it has me starting in MN- and everything I search is the same.
Ipconfig has me in Minnesota. Why do other people in this town not have the same issue? It’s very inconvenient when I am searching for something and it gives me options in Minnesota Same! Very very frustrating!
Ipconfig has me in Minnesota. Why do other people in this town not have the same issue? It’s very inconvenient when I am searching for something and it gives me options in Minnesota This is what I am experiencing too and yes it’s become bothersome having to verify it’s me because my actual location isn’t matching and I get multiple security messages asking me if it’s me and in Minneapolis. Can’t T-Mobile fix this??
