I tried to use the Home Internet 5G Gateway/Router in my home network setup, but unfortunately, the router has it’s base IP address (i.e. 192.168.x.x) hard coded into it’s OS, and CANNOT be changed. I have an existing large (for home) WiFi/hard wire LAN network setup on IP base of 10.0.x.x. I have way too many IOT devices, multiple PC’s, NAS’s, and peripherals to think about changing my base IP. If you yourself have done this, you know that once you change the base IP, you can’t go back to reconfigure those devices that ONLY communicate via hard wire. With that said, I tried the Home Internet 5G Gateway/Router for a day, and I got decent 50-80MBs data speeds, good enough for home use. However, not being able to change the base IP (which is really unheard of for routers) left this device useless to me.The question, does anyone know of a WiFi Router that can use the Home Internet 5G Gateway/Router as a “modem”, then allow the new WiFi Router to set it’s own IP configuration?Where I live,
My t-mobile internet, especially lately, has been the worst internet I have ever bought/dealt with. My wife with her iPhone 12 Pro gets medium 5g coverage most of the time at our house. Why does our home internet modem averages weak to poor signal? I’ve never gotten a better signal than weak. It is also CONSTANTLY losing connection to the internet witch is hard on my wife when she works from home full time and is constantly dropping connection to her work. I’m never getting the minimum download speed I was told I would at least be getting and streaming and or gaming is virtually impossible. Please help or I’m going to have to cancel and go back to our previous internet provider.
My ping is between 60-80 im hard wired and the only thing connected to my modem. downlaod speed is 300 and upload is around 60 but every game I play lags horribly???
My TM internet is connected to a Deco mesh network and works awesome. When i connect to my Cisco Anyconnect VPN for work, my mesh network comes to a screeching halt. therefore, I connect to the TM gateway directly before connecting to VPN. It constantly kicks me out and has me at such a slow speed all of a sudden. I know this is a recurring theme but just putting it out there. TM needs to fix this or I will regrettably need to revert back to Xfinity which I really don’t want to do but will have no choice. Working fully remote makes this exceptionally frustrating and difficult. Any ideas?
Just got my Tmobile home internet 3 days ago. my friends across town same distance from the tower than me get 80Mbps + I am currently getting 0.13MBPs up and 0.53 Down .. . I have already called tech support they had me run several tests and resets and my speed got worse how in the hell are you going to advertise 50MBPs plus and not even provide 1% of that in the first week!? I have 4 bars of signal and I cant even get 1 MBPs?! If this isnt fixed immediately I will be fighting for a 100% refund including my rushed shipping we are stuck on Hugesnet and have no other options so this seemed like a dream come true. . .nope more false advertising from another company promising rural internet just a bust if you dont live in or near a big city you just get the shaft
