Sometimes when I click on the button to show the display on my 5G h0me gateway, it shows 5 green bars for a split second before a normal display. What does that mean?
I’ve been using the T-Mobile home gateway for three weeks now. Generally, it works well; I am using it to post this message. The download speed has been anywhere from 60 to 300 mbps, so usually not as fast as cable but adequate. I’ve had no problems sending and receiving emails, using social media, streaming movies and TV shows, or being on Zoom calls. The Zoom calls themselves and Yahoo’s SMTP and POP servers use IPv4, so the 464XLAT has done its job.But the one thing that has got under my skin is that because of the aforementioned 464XLAT, some sites and apps think I am 100 miles from where I am...at least! I am not lucky enough to live in a city that has one of T-Mobile’s NAT64 routers. It doesn’t figure into most of what I do, but the issue is there. I will stick with T-Mobile a little longer, to see if I can get to a point where this doesn’t bother me. If it does, I will have to switch back to my cable provider.
