I have tried to open the link to get my instructions on submitting my trade in, however it says it cannot recognize this site. Help?

Do you have any popup blockers enabled? You can always reach out to Customer Care at 611 or by sending a DM to T-Mobile on Facebook or Twitter to have the shipping label and trade-in instructions sent to your e-mail. Make sure you read and follow the instructions exactly when sending in your trade-in.
