This has been an ongoing issue for me but I have not been receiving text messages from my banks and other personal accounts. These text messages are suppose to be a pin or verification codes.

View originalThey’re called short codes (not the pins - the numbers they are texting from) and, obviously, they are blocked on your account. You’ll need to call Tmobile and have the short code block removed. For reasons I couldn’t explain, some accounts seem to start out with short codes blocked.
