I have a phone number that belongs to the T-mobile carrier but when i try to connect it t-mobile account or t-mobile id, it say to use the correct phone number, why is that?

so its locked to TMO and is needing unlocked in order to be moved to TruConnect?

 

if this is the case then the original owner needs to contact TMO and request it be unlocked. the original owner is the only one that can request this since they will need to give TMO their info.

i think it was from someone and not from directly from tmobile.

did you purchase this phone from someone or have you owned it the whole time? and were you ever a TMO customer?

for Truconnect to iniate it, they need the tmobile id for it to transfer it but my phone number doesn’t match tmobile even though the carrier is tmobile
