Question

Why can't the local store transfer a number to a new account?

We attempted to transfer a number to it’s own account at the local store in Deer Park, WA. They said we had to call 611 to release the number from the account. I’ve been on hold with 611 for 45 minutes (and counting). Why can’t the local store handle this?

I’ve been with T-Mobile for several years and this is the first time it’s been like this. Is this the new norm?

To avoid unauthorized ports.

I understand that thought. However, if the primary account holder is present, it is more secure in person.

You can do it at a store but you still need to FaceTime phone support.
