Visual Voice Mail, running version version 5.34.6.1.2.82611 is now requesting permission to access my photos, media, and files.
Why does a voicemail app need any of that to function?
I'm definitely not granting permission, but what's up with the request?

The permission is for storage. If you want to save your voicemail to the device it needs those permission. Some Android rules if there is ever an update to or change in how a permission is handled within a app it needs to be declared again for the user to see what they are.
Umm this is a lie and you should not grant access. I did not grant access and was able to leave a voicemail and view it. SHADY!
