On reddit someone posted an article about the Glance ads possibly rolling out on android devices starting in the next couple of months. Apparently Glance has ads on the lock screen of android phones. I am currently in a jump plan lease which ends on August 19th. I have had the Samsung Galaxy S21+ and am looking either to change phones (turn in and get something else) or go to the S22. After reading the article about the Glance app being added to android phones, I cringe at the thought of ads I don’t want showing up on my lock screen on my android. Some other articles I read said it may only affect cheaper android phones but this is not confirmed. I am wondering if there is any input to the rumor about Glance and should I just move over to iOS? I always finance my phones through t-mobile and am not looking to purchase an unlocked phone from Samsung.
