Yesterday I misplaced my Google Pixel 4A phone. I have the phone locater turned on in my phone settings. But when I tried to log into T-Mobile on my laptop to use the locator … the ONLY verification method it offered me was to send a text to the lost phone. Of course, that was useless. Does anyone know how to set up the two-step verification to also allow verification by e-mail? T-mobile has my email on record. I also set up all 3 security questions. But every time I clicked on “use another verification method,” the only option the T-mobile website gave me was to send a text to my missing phone.
As a side note, fortunately, I have a Google Pixel brand phone. Google also has a phone locator that I was able to use, and Google Maps showed me where the phone was, so I was able to find it. Thanks to Google and NOT to T-Mobile.
