What happens if I don’t pay my previous carrier with the money provided by TMobile? Will they only send me to collections? Or will there be other consequences?

They will send you to collections and if you brought a phone over from your previous carrier it will most likely be blacklisted and not be able to use.

Your credit score will also plummet and if you try buying a house, car or any other big purchase you're probably no going to get approved.

It may also show on a background check if you're applying for a new job and maybe the reason you won't get the job.

usually youre supposed to pay off the prior carrier yourself and the money from the new carrier is supposed to pay you back basically. if you wait until you receive the money from the new carrier by that time youre usually already in collections with the old carrier if you didnt pay them off already.
