‘Just switched my i-phone from ATT to TMobile. Inserted the new sim card given to me by the salesperson at a T Mobile store, and I am receiving an error message saying that the sim card is not recognized by the carrier (T Mobile).
I can’t call T Mobile because the phone is currently disabled.

Is the iPhone unlocked from AT&T? If not you're going to need to get it unlocked which is why the phone doesn't recognize the Tmobile sim.
