Is it okay to place a sim from 2007 iphone into a 2012 iphone?

It should be OK as long as the Sims are the same size.
also if the prior phone was NOT a 5G phone and the new one is then you’ll need a sim card that handles 5G..if the prior phone WAS a 5G phone then as long as it fits you shouldnt have any issues.
