My wife and i have the same phones, purchased at the same time, on the exact same plans but for some reason hers does not have LTE and mine does.  Ive gone into the cellular data and checked and the LTE option is selected.  As far as I can tell everything is the same between phones yet hers doesn’t have LTE.

take her sim card out of her phone and put it in yours..might be a sim card issue. if yours stops connecting to LTE then you know its the sim card.
