My son has phone # 540******* states he is on a plane and his internet is not working and phone stating we dont have that plan. Please explain

you’ll need to contact TMO to have them look into it..
until then though i would probably avoid blasting your kids phone number on a fully open and viewable site. everyone and their mom now know your kids number..

What plan are you on and does it offer in flight calling?
Data runs practically everything now so not having it can really drag down the day.
The plane should have a Wi-Fi network that your son can connect to. Access to sites is still pretty limited on their Wi-Fi, but he should be able to connect to browse some basic sites including the airline’s entertainment website and send text messages.

A lot of smaller aircraft still do not have in-flight WiFi. Having a cellphone not in airplane mode while in-flight in the and a lot of other countries is illegal. If the flight has WiFi. Is WiFi Calling enabled? Some in-flight WiFi services do block WiFi Calling for passenger comfort but usually permit texting.
