I just recently moved to a different state i changed my number to the states id. (406). But it still says im roaming. also i sent a text to my girlfriend and she said it was from my old number. so she called my old number and was told that that number is no longer in service.

then you might not have coverage where youre at. changing the area code wont make it not roam..youre still in the U.S no matter what state youre in..but if theres a signal issue then yeah..i can see roaming popping up..not that its overly accurate but what does the coverage map show for your location? zoom in in case theres a white chunk where youre at but its not noticed unless you zoom in..
