Slow internet speeds with Apple Computer and possibly the reason why. One solution

I was getting horrible download speeds from brand new T-Mobile device after switching out older model. My computer would see internet speed tests of 1.5 mpbs to 50 mobs. My spouse’s computer would see speeds 300-400 mpbs depending on the time of day. I Googled the problem and narrowed it down to a setting in iCloud called iCloud Private Relay. This setting can be found in your System Preferences folder under iCloud. TURN IF OFF and your speeds will once again fly.
