Depends... There are various things more than T-Mobile that affects the time.  For example they need FCC and neighborhood board approval for example before they are even start or upgrade. Not to mention just because they bought let's say the 700 block of spectrum they might now own that block in your area so they need to get approval from said license holder to use or roam on that spectrum.

This is one of the reasons why they can't give a time frame because it may be out of their control.

T-Mobile has its own time schedule for upgrades to sites.  Sometimes, the most needed ones take the longest, while others that really don’t have a true need are done early, and some sites are just scrapped.

Eg.  2 sites in San Simeon, CA.

1 at Hearst Castle, 4G LTE B66, fiber fed, range +10 miles

1 at the Motels below  - now 5G n41/n71/n25 + LTE, range < 1mile

Town = 400 residents.

In 2019, T-Mobile upgraded the on the rooftop of the motels, took 8 months after before they put in fiber.  Service was reachable and usable from Hearst Castle site (~2 miles and +1800’ away).

Today, Hearst Castle is still … 4G LTE B66. and is the only site to cover southbound area into Cambria, CA , and ‘could use’ low band … LTE / 5G.   No ETA to update site.

Your best action would be to talk to Advanced Tech Support (T-Mobile social media or through 611) to see if there’s an ETA.
